Eric Stevenson is really the key to their offense. The offense, and really WVU's success as a team, tends to go as he goes. Gotta shut him down.

he went 7-10 from 3pt against Auburn, 6-11 from 3pt against Oklahoma in their two biggest recent wins. Went 1-6 @TCU and vs. Texas, respectively, in their recent big game losses. They did beat TTU sandwiched in there without him, going only 1-7 FWIW.

Averages only about 25 minutes pg, but will play as much as 35+ when he's hot. Shooting 38% from 3 on the year, only 25% during big 12 play which has a lot to do with their 3-7 Big 12 record. Only 31.8% from 3 in his career, this is his best year by far.

People want to talk about our "struggles" on the road but to a degree they are overplayed.

We are a much better team than the one that lost at Iowa (no show performance on top of that). Mizzou was a throw away game (also without Kunc and Grill). OSU was a tough loss without Grill and Kunc, Tech was a unique implosion, and we played well enough to win at Kansas.

West Virginia is always a tough place to play but I like our odds. Having this game on a Wednesday rather than a Monday or Tuesday is HUGE. The extra day of rest coupled with a relatively "easy" home game against KU means we should have a lot left in the tank. Kunc should have some rust shaken off, and I think/hope we have learned from some of our previous failures. In particular I think our coaches need to manage the game better from the bench and pulls guys who are struggling to let them gain composure.

I think we win by high single digits and maintain better composure during the 1-2 inevitable runs. I think Lipsey keeps his head on, even knocks down a 3, while Shoon has a big game inside.

Drove through West Virginia once. It was a nice, sunny summer day.

We pulled into a town and all of a sudden it was cloudy. I thought it was weird for clouds to roll in that fast, turns out it was the factory in town. Probably some high rates of respiratory issues in whatever town it was.

Next time you fly into Atlanta, take a look out the window and get a load of all the gray for miles surrounding the city.

To me this game really feels like a make or break if we want to win the Big 12.

Win it and we are in the drivers seat. Lose it and we need help.

@ WVU
OSU
TCU
@ KSU
@ Texas
OU
WVU
@ Baylor

Need to win all the home games, winning 2 road games and I think we win the whole league. Anything less and I doubt it.

Good luck everybody that plays after us.
Ugh....i remember when I didn't have a cable package with alternate ESPN channels....(i.e. no switching to ESPN NEWS, ETC)....refreshing my phone.....getting to see live action on our game with 10-15 minutes left in the first half...such a tense time...especially when after the game before they'd do some fluff/interview.
