I can be guilty of it at times, but I don't think we appreciate Lipsey as much as we should. Probably because he isn't flashy, but I'm making it a point to enjoy watching him play.

In addition to his natural talent, Lipsey is also, and maybe more importantly, Tang Bait.

Has CDub retracted his “it‘d be a good thing to lose in KC“ take yet?

This team has gotten their confidence back on offense. Especially Milan after tonight. Ball movement was superb tonight.
I really love Cdub, but he always seems to have some head scratching stances in his mind about things.

I hate the "it's not that important" takes. No one can watch the coaches, players, and fans in KC and say a big 12 tourney title isn't important.

Amazing how getting out of the long regular season and playing some tourney bball can rejuvenate a team.

Not to be a downer BUT his whole premise revolved around the NCAA Tournament, so that’s TBD. We get a no holds barred, death match against Houston tomorrow. It’s going to be a war. After that let’s see how the first round game in the NCAA Tournament goes.

Hopefully this week has gotten the groove back, but we won’t know their physical toll until the first round game.

Edit: And if we would lose first round, there’s no proof a three day tournament run is what gassed us or caused it. But that will be the narrative right or wrong.

I was pretty confident that we have the better team, just from the eye test of watching college basketball for four decades, but I didn't see a blow out coming.

With the team we have though, if they're doing their normal thing on defense, and then hitting threes on top of that, good luck to you, there's not much hope of beating us.
I can't remember the last time the top 2 seeds walked their way into the Big XII championship. If you would've told me before the season ISU was going to be one of those this year I would've thought you were crazy.

If we don't win tomorrow, it doesn't mean we can't have a deep run in the tournament. If we win it doesn't mean a 1 seed or a final four. Just appreciate the good times while we are in them.

I think it's just the restoration of focus. It is HARD to play out the last string of games, particularly when you're favored in all of them. I've seen so many teams that beat all their rivals get tripped up on that and lose momentum.

Yep.

I said before K State the game was huge mentally.

It’s a growth the last two games that is a testament how great the staff and players are.

We just looked in total control of these outcomes.

It’s a privilege to get to play in a championship game. And Houston is such an amazing team.

Embrace the challenge.

Varsity app keeps stopping audio. Not crashing, but just stopping randomly. Including during the W&H read for the Varsity app.

Something seems to have changed with one of the last updates. I didn't get any help from CF during the BYU game when I first noticed it, but what I have figured out since then is that the Varsity app now acts more like YouTube. If you don't have Varsity live and forefront on your screen, the feed times out after like 2 minutes. This includes times when you don't purposefully choose to send the app to the background or send your phone to the lock screen. Once you know the Varsity app needs the main context on your phone, it's easier to live with. But it still really sucks. I don't understand if this is a purposeful change or if it was incidental (and if it just affects android folks or both OSs).

Going to be insane tomorrow night. Heavy weight title match

I honestly think Houston is as good as anyone in college basketball, so it's like playing the #1 overall seed in my mind. Nothing to lose, everything to gain, and our guys will not be intimidated by the moment. Takes a damn good game to beat Houston though, for sure.

You know the team wants to win the tournament so it’s silly for fans to think otherwise. Always win when you can. We don’t want “load management” in college basketball

Yeah same thing with bowl games. They absolutely matter to the players and fans. The more the "it's not important" narrative gets talked about it will become self fulfilling. Baylor players looked pretty disappointed to lose that game

Injuries would be more of an issue than exhaustion imo.

They certainly figured out how to get their legs back the last two nights.
