I really agree on the press. If our half-court offense is struggling, it has to be a higher percentage play to attack the press rather than pulling it back and allowing them to set up their full defense. We need at least one more good outside shooter so we can spread the court and open up the middle.
Not just that, our offense needs another confident ballhandler. We have Hunter, Brockington, sometimes Jackson, and.... crickets. Players outside this list have a tendency to get caught up in traps or make risky/bad passes.

I wonder what George was talking about, because I looked at every tweet that was @‘d at him and only found one negative tweet just some guy telling him he should retire. Even bad tweet sucks, but if it was Iowa half the fan base would have tweeted him.
Guessing the players read the forums.

Elaborate?
New coaches, from certain less prestigious programs, get less respect in the beginning by the referees. It doesn't wildly improve as time goes on, but it can improve. That has been my observation anyway. I think the best coach to deal with refs in my memory was Johnny Orr, because he would do what he thought he could get away with, and was well known in basketball before he came to ISU.

That happening and then Jones 'drawing' the charge on his form tackle*...saying the refs were inconsistent is putting it very mildly.

*Did the Tech player lower their shoulder or something?

You talking about when the Tech player butt checked Jones into the Tech ball handler?

Likely. I didn't see he had gotten checked into it and had the game volume off.

It was hard to keep track of strange sequences for this game.

Okay, I was wrong again.....after the heartbreaking loss at KU, Tech will not win the big12. All championships go thru Kansas. Nice to have a star in Agbaji. If only Tech could have got to him a little quicker and foul up 3. (maybe?). Grrr

It is odd in a year where the Big 12 is so strong, an average, by their standards, KU team is gonna win the thing. These guys are so flawed and incomplete.
