I’m plastered

Gotta score a TD on this opening drive.

Somehow someway way it’s 1 poss going into the 4th? You have a fighting chance with KUs woes

This post likely won’t age well

Think lower. They'll be at a place in the selection order with better options, and while in the past they might have picked us early since we travel, you'd have to be stupid to think our fans would travel well if we end up with 4-5 losses after the 7-0 start.

So play UNLV in the Vegas bowl? Even better! Road bowl game baby!

Fox sports had a tweet before the season started, showing how many 4-5 star players were on Big 12 teams. ISU was dead last with 1. That 4 star is the third string QB. ISU has to win by developing players and having great coaching. The current recruiting class is ranked 63rd in the country. Mediocrity is all ISU will ever be unless they magically start getting these great players. ISU had overachieved all season, this drop off was bound to happen. The 7-0 start was amazing, but ISU’s weakness’ are being exposed now(talent, injuries, and in game coaching).
Accurate. We’re not getting to double digit wins and I’d be surprised with 9 wins at this point. Teams have figured out our predictable offense and defense.

Watching multiple games earlier and during halftime it is GLARING how bad our o line play specifically pass protection is compared to most other teams

And honestly it feels like that disadvantage is trending in a worse direction in the NIL era.

Other than the Covid season, name a critical game Matt has won - ND embarrassed him in bowl, lost Big 12 Championship game, lost Alamo Bowl, lost Cheez It Bowl to Clemson, the whole season after the Covid Season, lost to TT to go 8-0 for the first time ever, 2 Gameday Iowa games, etc…

Yes he has beat some ranked teams, but at the end of the day, it hasn’t mattered.
Non BCS bowl games are overrated.
Campbell has made ISU relevant. From 1945-2016, ISU had 7 seasons with a winning conference record

Since 2017 ISU has 6, with a 7th likely this year

There is no question that Campbell has improved the overall quality of athletes in the program during his tenure. There are some big time guys playing on Sunday that came thru here. He has changed the culture and made the program relevant.

All that said, he is NOT a game day coach. He doesn’t adjust when his plan isn’t working. He doesn’t win in the margins. He can’t manage the clock well. We waste plays on every offensive possession. You can’t get to the next rung of the ladder in college football without being good at those things.

These are facts.

You sound like a Hawkeye fan from the time of Dr. Tom Davis. That worked out well.
