Iowa’s really lucky the halftime lead isn’t twice what it is. Not to beat the dead horse, but Garza’s the only reason they’re even in the game.

Man, Garza went nuts and they are still down double digits. Not good for the hawks. Garza might have to score 60 for them to win and he is already sucking wind.

One of their fans on this board thinks they are an 8 seed next year if they lose JW and Garza. They aren't losing JW, but even with him would they be anywhere close in this game?

Iowa beatwriter said there is 90 percent chance JW leaves for NBA this year.

Good half for the Ducks. Need them to keep locking down everyone but Garza, who is just going to get his. Make them work hard on the offensive end. Of course if Oregon just wants to hit like 10 three pointers in the 2nd Half that would be cool too.

If they get bounced here it will be because Fran couldn't sign any athletic ball handlers for like a 3 year period in anticipation of his sons.

Pair up Garza/JW with 1-2 more Big Ten level guards or wings instead of Connor and they are real serious trouble for anybody.

Connor's first half line is net negative production. More fouls and turnovers than all of his other stats combined.

I give Fran all the credit in the world for identifying, recruiting, and coaching Garza...but these Iowa fans who think next year is going to just keep on rolling without him are delusional.
Agreed, that’s what makes it more hilarious that Iowa just gave Fran a contract extension when in 2 years they will be back to mediocre boring basketball.

I love him as a college player but I've actually trended away from him as a next level player as he has developed and seems to not take the next step in physicality.

Compare him to Nader and how physical and aggressive Nader can be attacking the rim, that's the roll he'd be looking for.

Iowa & Garza can score well enough they won't be out of it, barring a long cold spell.

I'm sure Altman is happy to have a 10 point halftime lead to work with

Nice 1st Half. Hopefully Oregon can still shoot well in the 2nd Half. Have my doubts on that though.

That concern that Oregon might be rusty is gone, and having that first game buy is solidly in the advantage column now for Oregon with the pace of this game.

DUE TO THE FOUL ON THE THREE POINTER TO END THE HALF WE ARE RAISING THE THREAT LEVEL TO A FRANCON 4. REPEAT WE ARE RAISING THE THREAT LEVEL TO A FRANCON 4.

Garza has been to the Francon system as dams have been to the Netherlands.

The system has gotten a little rusty.

I just don’t think Iowa is going to be able to out run Oregon. Up 10, Oregon is sitting nice. Keep it a track meet.
