I'm never picking a Big 10 team not coached by Tom Izzo to advance past the Sweet 16 in my bracket again. Maybe this time I will learn.

I think something that didn't ever really get brought up with the big 10 is, beyond Izzo, none of their coaches have had much tourney success. Painter had some but then it's Gard, Turgeon and Fred with Sweet 16's on the resume.

Compare that to the big 12 this season, Boyton was the only coach w/o a Sweet 16 on his resume, he, Prohm and Dixon are the only ones that haven't been to a final four.

It's not he be all end all but the top big 10 teams had Underwood, Fran, Holtman and Howard, not a bad group but Holtman is the only one that'd have ever been past the first weekend.

I think Adam led the Big Ten in scoring his senior year. Not sure if I see that in Patrick.

If Oregon slows down and gets cold, Iowa could get back in it. But their defense is so, well, bad.

They can score gobs of points when they're on. But Oregon broke out of their latest funk pretty quickly, and have been running with them all game.

Crazier **** has happened, but Oregon seems to be locked in.

You get that from two players in 28 minutes of game time but are still behind by 20 points.

That is an incredibly rare thing to have two players putting up that production and getting run.

Fran scored on one recruit and going with exclusively legacy/family beyond that is gonna cost them a special season without any real team hardware.
