The SEC's first-round stumbles make Greg Sankey's grand plans seem foolish
The SEC did a lot of chest-thumping this year that it was one of the best basketball leagues in the country. Then the first round arrived.

This x100.
Big 12’s top seeds were playing low seeds by design of the tournament. I understand people saying those are not necessarily impressive won. But not getting upset (like Auburn, Kentucky, Wisconsin, etc) is all you can hope for in the first round and it’s all you have chance to “prove”. today and tomorrow will be opportunity to beat better teams.
Yeah. Houston looked mad yesterday and the results showed. Think Longwood got like 1 shot up in the first 4-5 minutes.Purdue and UConn are lucky we don’t play the championship game first because Houston was gonna crush anybody yesterday coming off that big loss. They’ll probably still be playing angry tomorrow too.
They look really good this AM.Arizona players really square up their bodies when shooting. Nice form.
Doggone Arizona looks good right now.
Bad take. The Big 12 earned the right to play those bad teams. And the Big 12 has the most teams in the Round of 32.
More data to show how bad the selection committee was this year.
but...you were wrong? you said they'd all lose so...@dahliaclone Well I should have swapped Texas with BYU, but my prediction of Texas Tech, TCU and Texas losing in the first round a couple of weeks ago wasn’t too shabby eh?
And Texas looked like crap but luckily played some defense.
If I’m a Wisconsin fan, I’m about done with Greg Gard. Decent coach but has significantly underperformed when it matters.
They have 3 guys that shoot over 40%. What makes them as good as you are seeing, right now is their point guard Love. He is your standard high volume ball-hog scoring PG who is very streaky.Arizona players really square up their bodies when shooting. Nice form.
They look really good this AM.
I have a renewed appreciation for our defense after watching 2+ days of NCAA tournament basketball.
So much for the staying on your body's internal clock argument. They look really good this AM.
