Some fun discussions to read through the last couple of days.

I do not believe this team goes far without one more frontline SP. Right now, I do not trust Taillon, Rae, Wicks, Brown, or Flexen to start in the playoffs, and we're playing with fire if we go into October thinking Boyd and Horton will be available. I've heard people throw out the name Assad - he hasn't thrown in an MLB game in 10 months.

I've heard Lugo is the Vegas favorite right now, but the problem is he has a player option after this year and his peripherals don't agree with his results this season - so you may be paying ace-level price but not getting that type of return.

It's also important to remember money is likely part of the thought process this deadline. I've seen people in the know hint the Cubs won't add more than $15 million to ensure they won't have another accounting issue like last year and slightly go over the luxury tax.

Getting Suarez today would cost roughly $6.4 M the rest of the year and is making about $92,500 per game. You wait until late July, you can find yourself saving a little over $1 M.

It's pathetic from this organization, I know, but it's the reality we're living in.

Losing to the Twins while the Brewers beat the Dodgers is a bit of a bummer. Need to get the next 2.

And Brewers come back to tie in the 9th and win in the 10th to sweep the Dodgers.

In a couple weeks we won’t have to worry about the playoffs. I predict we are out of first place in a couple days.
Hope I'm wrong but this has a feeling of like a 1-5 road trip heading into the break. Wouldn't doubt that we are catching the Yankees on the rebound after their bad stretch.

We're once again majoring in flying out to the warning track, when the opponent is manufacturing runs. Sorry to be negative, but should we go ahead and guess how many RISP Dansby will leave stranded tonight?

Again, as a twins fan and know nothing of your guys season other than it’s going well, what’s gone right and wrong for you guys? Honest question.

Wow, the Cubs literally let that guy score trying to get the out between first and second. Rough D today....heads-up guys.

I watched this little league mistake on a tiny tv at the TGIFridays in the Dallas Airport. I've hit a new low

He'll clear waivers being owed $22 mil left on his contract. Possibly bench upgrade over Brujan? He's a better hitter than Brujan and can play a little 1B and 3B in a pinch too. Cubs gave up on him way too early, he was part of the Ian Stewart trade who was a total bust.
