So you’re saying we’re gonna win outSimple math? Overall 29-8 last year. 22-8 this year. Same amount of losses.

Only had to play BYU, Tech and Houston once, played bottom feeders KState, UCF and Colorado twice. Is that true? I didn't realize that
Quite possibly the worst officiating I’ve ever witnessed. Do we have any refs under 80 still?
Damn that's terrible. I didn't know that. Thanks, I never know where to look up that kind of stuffYeah, according to the SOS metric on BartTorvick, we had the 16th easiest schedule out of 16 teams.
Depends on how you look at it...Is that true? I didn't realize that
KSU hammered us at home, we will be lucky to get out of there with a win at their place. They are a very poor match up for ISU.Only had to play BYU, Tech and Houston once, played bottom feeders KState, UCF and Colorado twice.
True but the metrics say they aren’t a good team hence why we had the weakest scheduleKSU hammered us at home, we will be lucky to get out of there with a win at their place. They are a very poor match up for ISU.
Ok, well unless we win the Big 12 tournament and National Championship we will end up with more losses than last year.Simple math? Overall 29-8 last year. 22-8 this year. Same amount of losses.
This is why i disagree with anyone saying it's a good effort. Of course the team is trying, but we're soft. We tried but by playing pat-a-cake We don't make the toughness plays with consistency, despite it being our "culture". Same old sh*t with this team.BYU won rebounding 52-24, with 17 ORebs... oof!
There very well could be a shortage of refs. If you’ve ever tried to ump for a little league baseball or middle school basketball game it’s easy to understand why.Quite possibly the worst officiating I’ve ever witnessed. Do we have any refs under 80 still?
Barring some huge donors appearing out of thin air, the talent is likely about as good as we'll get.One of those games. You plug a hole and another leak pops up.
Defend incredibly for the first ten minutes, but only score 24 first half points.
Defend incredibly hard AGAIN and get the game tied second half, but completely unable to defensive rebound going with Jefferson at the 5 the rest of the game.
Double teaming ourselves into the game to get back into it in regulation, then completely unnecessarily double teaming ourselves into 5- and 4-point holes to begin each overtime.
It really feels like our players have not come close to putting a full game together all season. The staff certainly hasn’t even come close to it. We don’t step on throats when up big. We don’t finish games well. We don’t call timeouts to end large runs. We force double teams when they’re not needed, and end up giving up wide open threes because our scramble defense isn’t good enough to scramble back into the play.
I don’t have answers other than an increase in talent being needed. The color commentator said every one of TJ’s ISU teams have overachieved compared to their talent, and I generally agree with that. Realistically, our talent needs to be better. It’s so, so tough to consistently perform at a high level as a team that has Jackson and Chat playing as much as they do. The talent just has to get better there specifically.

Agree, byu has some good things no doubt, but there are major holes there too that teams can exploit. They pulled this same **** last year. Looked like an NBA offense then couldn't do anything in the tourney against a 6th place team from the A-10.
It’s not really about recruits anymore in the new era (unless it’s generational like Flagg), it’s all about transfers now.Barring some huge donors appearing out of thin air, the talent is likely about as good as we'll get.
Momcilovic was a pretty highly ranked recruit remember.
We also had Utah, TCU and Cincinnati at home and no return trip there or we might have another loss or two.Only had to play BYU, Tech and Houston once, played bottom feeders KState, UCF and Colorado twice.
I think we got a favorable whistle overall, but the T on Gilbert was awful.Quite possibly the worst officiating I’ve ever witnessed. Do we have any refs under 80 still?
