I've just about moved on already. Would have been nice to have a chance at a shared championship, but now we get almost 5 days to rest and reset.

I don't think losing the first round of the Big 12 tourney would be a huge deal either. There's no way we get worse than a 3 seed, and it would be impossible to play ourselves into a 1 seed. Let's focus on getting our offense back in shape over the next 12 days so we are ready for the tourney that matters.

Our elite backcourt has regressed into a very average backcourt and that will have to change in the next week.
I think those who have it pinpointed to regressed play from Milan and Keishon over the last 3-4 weeks are pretty spot on. They have been struggling to score and that puts tremendous pressure on Tamin who has been playing banged up, and Curtis who to his credit has been great and probably deserves credit for keeping the ship afloat down the stretch.

I still think we win the first round game no matter what and then we shall see what happens. Playing our defense the first time is not fun and this will not be another P6 team seeing it either like Pitt last year, although defense was fine against them.

Our offense absolutely has to figure it out though if we want to get to the Elite 8 or Final Four level.

Sometimes we fans have a hard time accepting that emotion has an impact on these games and that the opponent has some pride, too. Cyclones won a tough final home game over an opponent that had beaten them earlier. KSU had gotten embarrassed by their in-state rival. Their senior day as well.

Not the result I hoped for, but not totally shocking either. Get a nice break, be ready to play on Friday. See what happens.
Acceptance to losing to KSU or Tang should never ever feel ok.

The only reason I don't want to lose the first round big 12 tourney game is because it becomes too close to the early exit season, and I don't think this team has the mental makeup to let that happen.

The players and coaches really appreciate the support they get in KC because they certainly don't look at it as an exhibition.

And just like last year at this time.......please stop with the tired BS. It almost seems like a canned excuse. Houston isn't tired, Obviously KSU wasn't tired. What..........ISU players miss their nap time? Please.......give it a rest because that lame excuse is tiring.

And I love it when people who are clueless about how hard these guys have been working since July (and how banged up they are) say we just need to suck it up, especially when these posters have never competed at this level, themselves.

ISU's MO is to out tough and out work the other team, and they've managed to that in 90% of their games. Without any stars on our team, we damn near managed to win the toughest conference in America, all because of our unreal work ethic.

Anytime other Big 12 coaches talk about ISU, the first compliment they give is how hard our guys play.

So please stop with your lame expertise on how easy ISU's players have it.

Yeah running mred's simulator looks like regardless of rest of today's outcomes we will be playing either TCU or K-State Thursday Night.
I want no part of K State again. They clearly were more motivated to win today and I fear that they just kind of match up better with us than a team like TCU does

Looks like there is one scenario it could be Texas or K-State IF UCF beats TCU on the road today.

You likely have to roll with Gilbert due to what he can do but he's a bit feast or famine and he's been dinged up which doesn't help.

That said Cujo stepping back with the ball when the drive simply isn't there seems to be much more effective; I'd guess if you could chart scores or at least 'good looks' when he does that it's a pretty successful clip.

Milan seems to need space to operate at his best and that doesn't happen if the defense doesn't have to peel off of him.

Good to get the taste of defeat back in the mouth before crunch time. Hate losing to their prick coach but it is what it is. Could have easily lost last time game and was great being undefeated at home this year.

Tom Crean just said ISU is looking like a very fatigued team that could use a few days of rest, but I'm sure you know more than him.

I'd have to look and see who was creating, but those fumbled passes in the first half don't lead to a lot of trust I'd imagine.

The Tang haters need to get a grip. I don't like him either, but contrary to what CW and Blum keep telling us on the pods, he actually can coach and he actually never lost the locker room. I wanted to believe that and was kind of starting to after their drubbing at KU Tuesday night, but today didn't look like a team out there that hated playing for their coach, that looked like a motivated well coached team that really wanted to beat us. The guy was conference COY and national COY last year, I think it's time to tip our caps. This cyclone talking head narrative is tired.

Losing to KSU no matter who the coach is sucks.

I also think it's OK to not pretend it's some sort of shock to the system for an NIT team to pull off this kind of win.

It's becoming clearer and clearer this team is limping into the post season. What ever is going on it's obvious this team is on fumes.

That is not a good KSU team they wanted to be put out of their misery but we shot ourselves in the foot repeatedly.
