WV should not be picked over us, but I think they will because of their overhyped qb, who we completely shut down. They are also rated higher in all the polls for some unknown reason

Making an assumption that OU makes the playoff. Sounds like the big12 gets the sugar bowl, WVU fans seem to think with Texas loss that they will leap frog the longhorns for the sugar. Is that possible?

WV fans might be the most delusional bunch in the Big 12. They were convinced they were going to run away with the Big 12 this year - and finished 4th. Behind us. They're convinced they're going to run away with the Big 12 next year - in spite of losing anyone and everyone that matters to their team. Thinking they'll leapfrog Texas to go to the Sugar Bowl is just another tick in that delusional column.

Exactly Memphis was taken over last year and I think we would get the biggest crowd in San Antonio
100% agree. Just from what I’ve seen when I was looking for hotels AND having been to Orlando many times, Orlando is vast and spread out. San Antonio has the riverwalk...that’s it, so everyone would be packed in the same area less than a mile from the Alamo Dome. That has $$$$$ written all over it for the city.

They've always had a bit of a superiority complex because they racked up a bunch of wins in the old big east... even though many years the big east was pretty bad.

And isn't there talk that Grier might not even play in the Bowl Game so doesn't get hurt for the Draft?

Ok, a bit of a dumb question. If you are not a donor is it still better to buy tickets through ISU or direct from the bowl?

Depends on the bowl, but often you'll get better tickets going third party or through the bowl, but it is better for the school (both in terms of future selection and in revenue to the school) if the sales go through them.

If Oklahoma makes the playoffs, I’m not sure why West Virginia would want Alamo. Wouldn’t they want Florida more?

I think Northwestern making a game out of it supplants OU in the playoffs unless there is some funny business and they keep Georgia in there.

Looking good for a possible Alamo but will be praying tonight

During the 2014 NCAA March Madness 1st and 2nd round games, Iowa Staters swarmed the entire city of San Antonio for four days. Hopefully, the Alamo Bowl people remember that.

I think the only thing that keeps the Cyclones out of San Antonio this year is if the Alamo Bowl people find the Holgerson-Leach matchup too tempting - and that's a dumb reason for any selection committe to pick a matchup.
