I really dislike Thursday as a 1st round game in general.

If your team wins, an early Thursday game is pretty nice. Watching the rest of Thursday and all of Friday knowing you won is very fun. We all know losing on Thursday is ******* awful. My personal sweet spot for Iowa State is the thursday 6:00 game. I get too nervous if it’s after that.

Milwaukee is Friday, I think.

Really really nice dub. Seemed like we'd be up 12, they'd chip it to 7 or 8, then we'd get back at it.

Cincy showed some fire but obviously were outplayed.

Cincy reminds me of what I usually think of for them without the wins. They have dudes and a very elite player.

do you think he re-injured something against BYU?
A leg thing is a tough call. It can loosen up with warm ups and tighten up by sitting, or vice versa. You just get the best advice you can get and roll with it. KG was trying to play through it for weeks and was not benefitting from that strategy.

Absolutele misery was when we were the last or 2nd last game of the first round. Had to wait until Friday night just to lose to Ohio State.

What was his sarcasm? He said he didn’t agree with Tamin wanting to play tomorrow.

Fortunately Tamin is tough and will play through some pain.
I thought he was being sarcastic lol

Agreed. I’ve spent significant time coming up with the best time for Iowa State to play, at least for me as a fan. The first 4 days of the tournament are quite literally my favorite of the year. I get sad when each set of games end.

I’ve never understood why Cincys coach plays Thomas and James without the other one for so much of the game.

They are your 2 best players and compliment each other well. They have trouble scoring when only one is in the game.

On a side note Skillings (sp?) would be a nice transfer get.

Unless they both were very winded, it's a mystery to me, also. No way, as a coach, would I have not had Thomas and Spunky Jizz in there.

Milan is starting to acquire the level of aggression that he needs to become the go-to guy next year. It's very cool to see. And his defense and court awareness has definitely risen to the level where he's not just out there for scoring and spacing.
If/when he can consistently hit those Dirk shots from 12-18ft he’s gonna be filthy.

And likewise using his length to keep the ball from having his pocket picked.

The real question is whether he’s ever played completely healthy. Maybe junior high
What concerned me more was the fact he took himself out of the game. He doesn't do that unless he really is in pain.

Hope he's ok. I'll actually be fine if he decides he needs to get some rest and not play tomorrow. NCAA tournament > Big 12 tournament
