If your team wins, an early Thursday game is pretty nice. Watching the rest of Thursday and all of Friday knowing you won is very fun. We all know losing on Thursday is ******* awful. My personal sweet spot for Iowa State is the thursday 6:00 game. I get too nervous if it’s after that.

Milwaukee is Friday, I think.

For me it's kind of the opposite with paranoia. Like if there's upsets on Thursday, you can just sit back and realize 'well, it's one of those years' vs. ten years ago when it was like the 11:45 AM second game to tip off.

Wasn't the UAB loss an early Thursday game?
Yep first game of tourney (minus first 4)

Couldnt really watch basketball the rest of the season.

Give me a Thursday mid afternoon/early evening game as my perfect time slot.

Edit: the only thing that helped was Baylor lost right after as a 3 and think a 2 went down the same day.

The way I remember it, it was the first game of the day. Never watched another minute of that years tournament. Completely stopped caring after that crushing loss.
The Hampton loss did that to me. But, the year of the UAB loss, ISU's Achilles' Heal was strong big men. UAB played THREE of them against us and totally shut down the paint. It wasn't so much an upset, than a really bad match up for that particular ISU team.

Wasn’t the Hampton loss the last game of the day though?

Good thing is that Curtis only got 28 minutes today, assuming he’s healthy he should be fairly well rested.

Also interesting we played a lot with Heise and Milan in together. I don’t remember that happening a ton before.

I got a vasectomy the day before UAB. Was all excited for 4 straight days of watching ball on the couch. Instead, I didn’t even want to watch after the very first game.

I thought he was being sarcastic lol
I was (obviously) about the calling for my opinion part, but not about sitting Lipsey. I love winning games in KC as much as anyone but we can't hit our ceiling as dinged up as we are. We're not going to get to 100% at this point but I would trade a win or two this weekend if it gave us a chance of getting healthier for a run starting next week. On the flip side, a week of rest probably doesn't make a dent on a groin issue, so whatever.

Lipsey playing or not playing tomorrow doesn't determine his toughness. That's never been in question.

My only concern is that a loss to BYU might bump us to a 4 seed. That is a disaster!
I think today might’ve solidified a 3. We’ve been a three everywhere and these tournaments usually don’t mean much for movement outside of stealing bids.

The Notre Dame game was a nice slot. Can’t recall if that was Friday though? Was that Aaron Craft?

Same weekend. That was Friday night. Early session if my memory is correct. Then on Sunday we were the first game and stand alone game against Craft.

Believe so or close to it. I was at a friend's party so was kind of watching but socializing so didn't see everything.

I looked up, ISU up 11 or so.

Then I looked up, and the thing happened, and then the other thing happened and I sat there stunned in the middle of a bunch of people that didn't really follow basketball.

The next day I was hungover and it was snowy, cloudy, cold, and grey which fit perfectly.

That's about as positive a spin I can put on that whole sequence haha.
