This offensive line is worst offensive line on D-1 history. A team full of walk ons at a lower level are blowing them up. Matt Campbell should have put all his recruiting efforts into getting the best 5 Juco offensive lineman.

How can our line not block Drake?

You can put heaters under the turf. Don’t know the cost but we should look at it. I think they might put warm water pipes under the field. Some nfl teams do it.

This would help a lot with the late season games, especially the part where you mention keeping the field from going into dormancy in a later comment, however, the primary issue this year was poor rooting throughout the entire season. Last time the field was resodded in 2008 they did little reworking of the sandbased root zone. This combined with the factors of compaction led to a black layer in the root zone, restricting root growth. This is why we see chunks of the field flying around and being torn apart. In the off season they will most likely tear out the field down to the subgrade and start over. The field next year will not be an issue, subsurface heating system or not, but if the money is there they may go that route
