I would love to see England win it. Any teams favored to win? I haven't followed it all lately.

Jonathan Gonzalez was not included in Mexico’s preliminary roster by Osorio. I wonder if he’s regretting his decision to switch to El Tri.

Want Argentina to win it so I can see Messi win a World Cup title, but that is highly unlikely. Will be cheering for Spain other than Argentina. Really hate Brazil, wouldn’t mind seeing them embarrassed again.

Looking at the groups for this year's World Cup, I'm not that excited. Will want to see upsets. Maybe root for Iceland/Croatia/Poland of teams that can get out of the group stage. Hopefully some dark horse teams arise.

Not of this World
If I’m really being honest, what I’m rooting for most is for all Liverpool players to make it through the tournament with no injury.

Polska. Wife was born there. Other than that no Germany or France. Messi/Ronaldo somewhere in the knockout rounds would be fun.
Will say not excited for the World Cup like usual. Morning game times and no US has my interest way down.

Just under a month away. I think I'll be rooting for our former colonial overloads, England, and our neighbors to the south, Mexico. It's still too hard to admit that the US isn't playing.

TLDR or go anti-Putin weirdos. Been to close to sport here in us for 40+ years. Want everyone to lose including us soccer leadership.

Jim Ross "calling the action" is still the best.

Morning games, no US, and a largely unlikeable field. While Italy is essentially FIFA's D-bags, I'm half Italian so I cheer for them - except they didn't qualify, either.

I guess that leaves me with Argentina, England, Germany, and Poland. Perhaps Australia as well.

Pretty sure my daughter will be rooting for Mexico so she can wear the cool Mexican National Football Team Day of the Dead style t-shirt she got before the last Cup. I have to admit it is a pretty cool design.
