I know we haven't looked the best the past two weeks. Who knows what happened to our offense last night and our defense was sub par the first game, BUT I'm still not worried. We will play Iowa very tough. Drew Tate in the line up or not, it doesn't matter. We will be ready to play. We will throw it to Blythe because we need to and we will continually improve on defense. Am I happy about the first two games? No. But I'm not going to get worried until we actually lose a game we shouldn't lose or get blown out by a team we should compete with. As ugly as they were, the last two games were wins and leave something to build off of. Anyone with me?

I'm with you! I think this is a realistic approach. The past two games weren't great, but could have been worse. We'll give our best to Iowa and continue to improve. This season is a LONG way from over. GO CYCLONES!

I am not too worried. Espically becuase I know what this offense can do. We have seen most them play together for the last 2 seasons. Its not likey the suddenly forgot how to play. I know things will come around, there is too much talent on the offensive side of the ball for it not too.

Although the defense has looked rough, both game winning stands came on the defensive side of the ball. That is very encouraging. The defense has played well all things considered.

I know the offense will find a rythem and once that starts clicking, things will only look better on defense as they get more rest and teams become more 1 dimensional trying to hang with our offense.

Are we building up our depth for the future? Or are we using first team players the whole game. That could be a concern by mid season.
Anyway, I am not worried because our linebackers lead the nation in tackling practice. I am not worried our great fullback gets hios one year. I am not worried that we bat down the ball at the end of every game. :dull8ay:I am not worried if we sell only 6,800 tickets to the students and yet the stands aree overflowing like there are 9,000 people.:eek:o7dt: I am not worried that Blythe did not catch a ball because he does not need to be an All American this year. I am not worried that the fans are not noisy since the season has not begun. I just am not worried.:rofl8yi: I know we have a great coach with 12 years of experience. He treats the players with respect. I am not worried because UNI, KState and Colorado will be three more wins. Just have to beat Kanas to go to Shreveport.:no6xn: We are doing okay. Being the underdogs in the games will give us incentive to win. We can build to a crescendo by year's end.
WHAT - ME WORRY?

This season is starting out a lot like last season. I'm not worried at all. We definitely have things to work on, but we can accomplish anything. In a way it's nice to see that we have such high hopes. It shows we've come a long way. Not too long ago, we'd take any win we could get. Now we want the north, and we want it bad. We can get it too! Stay strong Cyclone fans...

Lets aim high, and beat the Hawkeyes this Saturday and we'll see where we're at next week at this time.

GO CYCLONES!!

I am not worried at all, the Hawks let Syracuse get over 200 yards through the air, and this is a team that only had 45 passing yards in thier first game.

I'm not worried at all, after seeing the Syracuse/Iowa game. You can say how all stats and records go out the window in the ISU/Iowa game, but this one should be a real slugfest. I can easily see Iowa State going 3-0 after this game, and just about as easily as I can see them going 2-1.

I'm not worried either. Maybe a bit angry. But each week, I know we will improve. And we all know that Mac brings the A game to the "superbowl".

Not worried yet. The biggest positive I saw the last two games - our offense can win the game when needed and our defense can win the game when needed. Maybe special teams pulls it out for us this week:wink0st: ?

Special teams owes the rest of the squad big time. Thought the new coach would get their act together by the first game. Jury still out. Here are some Hallmark quips for those naysayer fans already throwing in the towel:

As the days go by, I think of how lucky I am...
That you're not here to ruin it for me.
*****************************************
My tire was thumping.
I thought it was flat

When I looked at the tire...

I noticed your cat.

SORRY! :sweet:

************************************************
Looking back over the years
that we've been together,

I can't help but wonder...

"What the hell was I thinking?" :eek:o7dt:

******************************************************
Congratulations on your wedding day!
Too bad no one likes your husband. :no6xn:

********************************************************
I've always wanted to have
someone to hold, someone to love.

After having met you ..

I've changed my mind. :sad9cd:

*********************************************************
I must admit, you brought Religion into my life.
I never believed in Hell until I met you.
