I don’t post much on the football forum because I’m more of a roundball guy. But I am really excited and impressed with this team bouncing back after the Ohio debacle. Hats off to the coaching staff! Perfectly executed game on both sides of the ball.

If you know how I am with the basketball forums, I’m a realist. I don’t polish turds, if we suck—I’m going to let my opinion show. Don’t care.

Much like the Provo, Utah game, this was just as impressive in recent memory. They absolutely left it all on the field. If you’re an Iowa State fan you should be beaming with pride how they closed out the regular season.

Abu Sama, just an absolute monster game. In fact, one could argue best of ALL time in the history of Iowa State football.

Another remarkable performance was that of Rocco Becht. His performance with the elements absolutely surprised the hell out of me. He’s from Florida folks! I really foresaw him struggling tonight. I was dead wrong!

Considering the horrible season last year, the off season drama with the gambling, losing to Ohio.. this team has guts and they did what ISU fans thought was unthinkable this year. 8 wins is still on the table to accelerate our young team into 2024. 2024 could be a really fun year as well, until then go get that bowl and 8th win!

Agreed I just didn't see us being able to go into Manhattan after that physical game against Texas last week. To do it withou Verdon was really impressive. Crow eaten over here with some BBQ sauce.

Thankful for the contributions of Sanders and Norton this year but not a fan of the "we're done for the year" bs so this was a nice don't let the door hit you on the way out game.

I agree. Very low class move. I will miss Sanders as he is a stud. However, they are not that great to pull such an audacious move.
