Honest question, did the new 2-minute warning help us win? We had 2 timeouts and it essentially gave us a 3rd to force their last punt, correct?
It also helped us that Kirk took a delay of game at 40 seconds instead of a timeout. That gave us 5 extra yards. So we started at the 22, not the 17. Which means our field goal would have been 59 yards. Mentally for Konrardy, that may have been a big difference.

@clonebb why haven't you been posting after ISU won?

Do you think that the first game of the season is the indicator for how the rest of the season will go?

Will you please cite any evidence of an opening weekend game being the definition of how everything else will go?

Let's hear it.

@clonebb is a loser that doesn’t have anything else going for him.

Today was a great day to be a Cyclone.

FWIW I did not predict an ISU win today. Just on youth and trends alone.

But I also understand that each week in college football is just different for all sorts of reasons so assuming last week meant much is pretty stupid.

Someone investigate the clock operator for only taking 3 seconds off the clock on the 54 yard field goal
Simply put, the clock operator cheated to give Iowa a chance to pull it out. He clearly did not start the clock on the snap of the ball. Rather, he started the clock 2-3 seconds late. At least 10 seconds went off the clock on the teams first three made FGs. The fact that Iowa didn’t pull out the win is irrelevant. The clock operator should be reprimanded.

Also look at the kick return, it ticks from 6 down to 5 after he catches the ball and runs over 10 yards.

Love when the announcers were saying if Iowa beat us they had a chance at the playoff. All I could think was:
