Absolutely. And I hope/expect the staff will use that this week.

Cooper is currently a late first rounder, you don’t put him on offense now. They could lose any game on the schedule with their current QB play.
Kirk has too much ego to put DeJean at QB in a wildcat. The fans are calling for it and he doesn’t make changes based on what fans want. And if he gets hurt or is limited on D and PR it really changes their identity.
That was a good one to go to! Good pick.Greatest enjoyment I've ever had as a Cyclone fan was traveling to Norman OK in 2017 and watching them beat the Sooners in person!
Looks like Breece Hall to me.This is really not that big of a surprise, given it’s the CR Gazette, but … 1) how do you mistake a running back for a defensive player, and 2) Sama is wearing number 24, it’s right there in front of you, how do you confuse that with a 7? (Or was Verdon wearing 24 yesterday, I don’t know, the official roster says 7).
Or this explains why we didn’t see Sama later in the game, he’d transformed into Malik Verdon without us realizing it.

Similar to Pacheco in that they are angry at the ground for existing.Norton has a running style that is unique. Can't think of anyone else who is similar. The Baylor DBs could have lost an arm trying to tackle him at the end of that TD run.
Still amazed with Pacheco and how he is turning out to be/is.Similar to Pacheco in that they are angry at the ground for existing.
Yeah, and without the sickness/flu/food poisoning issues that Ohio game would have been a win and we’re 6-2 ….I get what you are saying, but:
That said, we likely have 3 games against ranked opponents left on our schedule: KU, UT and KSU. It would feel nice to win at least 1 of those 3.
- ISU beat OSU and then the next week OSU beats KSU. OSU is 6-2 so it's not like they have a bad team. They just laid an egg vs. South Alabama.
- TCU is a bit of an enigma, but they aren't a bad team. In the end they could easily be a 6-6 team with a couple "what-if" games against Colorado and WVU.
- Never apologize for beating conference teams on the road!!
This is why I love the videos we sometimes see of players "interviewing" other players. They're kids (well, comparatively speaking) playing a game they love, in part for our entertainment.
Not a fan of the CR Gazette, but I think I would give a pass to them on this.I cancelled my CRG subscription OVER TWENTY YEARS AGO because their ISU coverage was so insultingly bad.
He’s the Jess Settles of OSU football….Yea but he didn't play as much in games leading up to our game with them so he wasn't in a groove yet.
Never mind that he has been playing for about 10 years.
Maybe the naysayers should take that angel when arguing Ok St isn't good - they are relying on a veteran QB in the twilight of his career.
I often wonder if Homecoming is a benefit to the players. Do they "celebrate" too much on Friday to play well on Saturday, or what? It was Baylor's Homecoming and their players looked like they couldn't care less. And with 6 minutes or so to go in the game, you would think they would have a sense of urgency. But they were taking most of the play clock just to get the next play going. Almost seemed like players and coaches had all given up.It's Homecoming. Crowd should be rowdy.
We absolutely should have but I will take a double digit road W in the Big 12 any day, especially in Waco where we have really struggled to get a win at.Rewatched the game and we should have won by at least 14 pts more.

All under Campbell.I thought he said 3rd also.
It doesn't happen very often. Put it that way.
A Homecoming football game at the college level is more of a "name" than anything else. Other than maybe a small pep rally on Friday evening there isn't anything extra that the players do that week.
Homecoming is more for the Greeks with the events they do.
Tampa plays the entire KU game. There was 55 seconds left in the first half so he sat the remainder of that half and the second half. That fullfills the 2 half suspension as any portion of a half counts as a half.Have to love as a fan punking Baylor on their homecoming game. Have always despised that program even though Aranda seems like a standup guy.
Defense
Offense
- The great tackle behind the line by Caleb Bacon on their 2 point conversion try was an underrated big play moment I thought. Flipped momentum.
- #47 freshman Kooper Ebel. No he did not post crazy stats. Yes - I am super excited to see him play more, he at 6"4 , 225 lbs and quick feet looks like a AJ Klein/MIke Rose talent. He's going to be good.
- Joey Peterson DE was a badass this afternoon. One fumble recovery, a good tackle for loss, and even a special teams tackle. Grinder hard nosed player.
- Today was Jack Sadowski's best game as a cyclone. Will McLaughlin was also really good.
- The defense was strong tonight and didn't have to be elite, the offense was so efficient it made it easier on them.
- Thankfully Tampa will be able to play starting in the second half against KU. I would've hated if he missed that whole game
- The Malik Verdon pick was oh so pretty, what a player
Let's beat blue chicken next week.
- Scheelhaase is in a groove fellas. 240 passing about, and 160 yards rushing, that is some sweet balance.
- Good for C. Norton, two TD's and I absolutely loved the Wing T formation for him near the goalline. To me he's great in short yardage packages.
- I still like Eli Sanders to get the lion's share of carries and majority of first down carries. He is becoming really efficient at getting 5 yds a carry lately.
- O Line and Tight Ends: Brendan Black playing more, Jim Bonifas getting more confidence at center, Tyler Miller finding more of a mean streak. It's just been a total attitude transformation for these guys. Claton is worth every dollar. And Mouser is getting good blocking out of TE's, especially Dean and Klotz.
- We have a formidable two headed monster at WR with Higgins and Noel. If D's key in on one, one tends to be open.
- Rocco is just a great decision maker, quick release, and accurate. (reminds us of another cyclone QB a little doesn't it?) His only bad play was the one pick. The TD to Higgins in the first quarter was an absolute beauty.
