No three ball shooting from Halli, THT and Babb, and no nice hook shots from MJ made it really tough tonight.

I'm now rooting for Tennessee to win it all. Anybody but Duke or NC. Of course we don't have to worry about Kansa$.

(knowing full well I'm just venting and no one is actually reading posts in this thread)

Bad coaching - The incredibly slow adjustment to the pick and roll reminds me of how slow the adjustments were made when Burton couldn't be stopped against Purdue. Also really good thing we had two of our best players coming off the bench all year, hope the lesson was worth pissing away an entire season.

Bad reffing - Some of the worst examples of obviously blown calls I can remember, in addition to OSU's offense revolving around their ability to commit offensive fouls freely.

Bad game - This game exemplified the problem this team had all year with tons of talent never being able to consistently putting it together.

We do always manage to end poetically.

Niang's freshman year to OSU on blown ref calls and an apology.
The 20 point comeback against Purdue where that group finally managed to come up just short after all their comebacks.

If nothing else, we end poetically.

Poetically but the kind that don't rhyme, right?

To me it seemed like one team came on to the court more or less focused and ready to win, and the other team(except for Shayock) came out ready to score some flashy 3's and dunks for the cameras. And, right out of the gate, the shots weren't falling, and instead of nutting up and getting their heads into the game, every player not named Shayock, Lard and Wigginton spent the whole game pouting and whining that they weren't getting their highlights.

Prohm gets paid millions of dollars to put this product out on the floor.

The second half of the year it seemed this turned into ME ball. We were sure spoiled by Monte and his leadership/ball control. Babb was a good player for us but he isn’t a PG. last year it was the LW show because we didn’t have anyone else . This year a ton of raw talent and CSP couldn’t figure out how it could come together. The past 3 years the offense operated completely different each year. I like Prohm not calling for him to get fired but he’s gotta be able to design an offense each year to fit the players.

Prohm rode the coat tails of a great lineup of NBA and over sea's pro's. Which he couldn't do any better than a sweet 16. Then crapped his pants in the first round against a team he should have beaten by Vegas experts. Yet JP will give him a 10 year extension because Alabama wants him... Well played Prohm, well played.

We certainly didn't start our best players tonight...
1. Shayok
2. Lard
3. Wigg
pretty big drop off after that although Tyrese had a potential game breaking play the officials decided to disallow for no reason

Honestly I think this may have been a game where Jacobson could have dominated next to Lard. The offense wasn't exploding anyway, would two big guys really have been that impossible? It's like we aren't allowed to do it.
I do give Prohm the credit for doing what everyone was thinking and not bringing THT back in after the Wigginton substitution.
