They should box-and-1 Hield. Man him up, probably with Kane or Hogue, then zone for everyone else.

This team would be u stopable if jared homan was roaming the paint. Even a Jackson vroman. We have to recruit a big man with a pulse.

When is the last time we threw up a BS shot like that and have it bank in? Horse **** shot but the boys will have to defend better. Getting some offensive rebounds would help too.

It wasn't as bad as the one Spangler took but Christopherson made against Oklahoma State was definitely a lucky shot.

Sorry to hijack, but the definition of an intentional just happened in the KU vs Tex game, but not called.

they may get Mason for a flagrant, which is not the call I'm referring to

Hogue and Ejim and even Niang are playing hard but not with passionate, wreckless abandon that they need to compensate for size difference against good competition as if they are resigned to the fact that they are tired and will not be allowed to get help from their teammates on the bench. Oh wait, they are resigned to the fact that they are tired and will not be allowed to get help from their teammates on the bench.
Here's to hoping again we can chunk up three's at a 70% or higher percentage and win. KU sucks. Most enjoyable thing on tv now is watching referees in KU Texas game........serious career calculations going on with every trip down the court.

Chance of Oklahoma making a 3: 100%

Chance of Oklahoma scoring on the block: I don't know but less than 100%

Let's stop doubling them in the block.

I love how Self has the nerve to get mad about that technical when it was much worse than the one Hogue had where he benefited. EABODs Self.

Does anybody know why we double Spangler in the post? I understand that that's our strategy to combat our lack of size but Spangler has zero post game and I don't think doubling him is a very effective move.

To avoid having our bigs get fouls? I agree though. Rather have Spangler take a 6 footer than Heild get an open 3

Hogue would get torched in that match-up.
We need to see a lot of Matt and Naz at the three in the second half. Also, no one is going after rebounds except Ejim and Thomas. And finally, until we know how to double, we should stop doing it.

Spangler ate ISU up on both ends last game. I agree they need to try and prevent that. But how do you not face guard Hield?
