My highlight of the day was watching our bench totally erupt when Jaz dove to tip the out of bounds ball off of St Johns. That was very arousing, if you know what I mean.

A 10 point lead was very tenuous with the old Cyclone teams because of our mediocre defense. With TJ's team, a 10 point lead is more like a 16-18 point lead.

I like the way we beat the press, not always happening before TJ.

We missed a ton of bunnies & FTs today. This could easily have been a 25 point blow-out. However, I loved the WIN and the effort we showed that, even when St J made little runs, we squashed them pretty quickly!

Andre Curbelo and the security guard having a power struggle at the end of the game was my favorite. He was sitting in a spot the security guard did not want him sitting and neither would back down. Went on from the time he fouled out until the end of the game.

They look soft now..I think our frontcourt depth and pressure D will cause them problems. Add them if u want. Baylor is down. Everyone else I've seen hasn't impressed me any.

All conference teams are going to be a sure challenge for ISU. That hasn't changed much since last year. .500 or above would be fantastic.

I so wish the Iowa game was in Ames because I think it would be an exact replica of this game. But the fact it's in IC makes me nervous.

I thought Watson stepped up his game today. I think that the chippiness of St. John's will be good for getting ready for Iowa. They are a bunch of trash talking cheap shot artists.
