My brother has sat in those seats the last couple of years, 2 years ago they were around $150 a seat, last season they were around $100, he purchase early if he had waited they were around $80 by game time. The scalpers are going to take a killing this season on Cards games.
Yeah, I guess the $75 I was remembering was what I could get them for on StubHub, so face value was higher than that.

He always purchased through stubhub or some other ticket site. He was pissed last season when he was talking to the guy in the seats right beside him when they guy told him what he had paid for his tickets.

I got tickets in 19th row behind home plate for $39 last year. They had upper deck for $1 for the same game.

I’m not gonna *****. Young guys are performing really well so far. Starting pitching has been pretty good. Baseballs back on, I don’t care how many fans are in the stands for a 12pm game on a Wednesday in April. The way the team has played through 6 games has been fun

I'm pleasantly surprised with the start so far. It's April so I'm not getting too wound up yet though. If they're still playing this way in May I'll start to get invested.

Well that thought that maybe we will not be too bad this season, took a serious blow this weekend in Boston. Gave up 5 runs in the first inning of the game Friday, but battled back to at least making it exciting. Rain day yesterday, so a double header today, first game we give up a 4-2 lead in the 9th and lose in the 10th, then in the 2nd game get completely crushed 18-7. At least we still hitting the ball, 10 hits at least every game so far, but the pitching has been a weakness.

It was surprising how our ace lockdown fireball closer couldn’t throw strikes in the 9th with a 4-2 lead. So far with essentially the same lineup minus Goldy, we are hitting and scoring at a better rate last year. Road losses don’t bother me, losing home series’s does.

I will add that Contrarus (sp) may play himself to the bench if he keeps this up or at least to the bottom of the lineup. I’m sure they’re going to give him lots of rope so they can use him at the deadline to get some pitching. Not one of Moe’s better signings.

They need pitching bad... The lineup has been hitting the ball well and scoring runs so that'll keep them in games if they can continue swinging the bats.

Generally I would agree with you, but after the off season the team went through, they are going to have to prove to me that they want to win to keep my interest this season. Never thought I would say that, but the excitement for this team is just just not there for me. Like the approach the new hitting coach has them working on, but our starting pitching is average to below average at best. We used to put out a middle of the lineup of Albert, Edmunds and Rolen, now look what we throw out there.

I saw the game was on ESPN so I turned it on against my better judgment. Was surprised to see STL up 1-0 in the first inning. I turned it off before the bloobath started in the 2nd. It might be all the Cardinals baseball I watch for the whole summer.

I watched the first game of the double dip and the then we sat down last night to stream 1923, once we had finishing watching it I remembered the cards were playing the 2n game. Flipped it up there and it was in the 9th, 18-3 or something like that. Was nice to see them score the runs in the 9th, but glad I did not watch it.
Time to bite the bullet and release Mikolas and bring up some of the young starters, if we are going to be rebuilding this season, we might as well go all in, and let them learn up here. I remember when the Braves throw out Glavin and Smolts, and let them take their lumps that first season, best thing that ever happened to both of them. No pressure, let them work on what they have and learn to trust it.

Contreras has been a good to great signing. Only thing you could possibly knock him on is the injuries. And he isn’t going to the bench/bottom of the lineup lol. A hitter like him has a ton of leeway. He doesn’t look good at all right now but you trust he figures it out.

To those who’ve been hesitant to jump on the wagon this year…. This team is a butt load ton of fun to watch this year. They just do the fundamentals SO WELL. The situational hitting, the defense is all great so far. Pitching has been surprisingly really really solid too. The 2 young guys at the face of the “reset” in Gorman and Walker haven’t performed well so far but Liberatore, Herrera, Scott, Winn, Nootbaar have all been stellar. Not sure what the trade deadline will bring if the team keeps playing this well but it’s a ton of fun to watch so far

The way they're playing, I'm not sure they need to make any trades. Please don't trade Arenado
Be the winning team he's never had.

They have been playing well, and it's surprising, but what is happening to Walker and Gorman are still struggling. The pitching has been a surprise, but a good few weeks is not a season, lets see if they can continue to get this rolling going forward.
