CW needs to stop doing the postgame pods with the band. Just choppy and hard to listen to.
Heise's 3 was one of my favorite moments in the game. You could see the relief on his face, and his teammates and the fans were clearly very happy to see him finally get one to fall.- our crowd continues to be so in tune with this team. They go crazy every time Watson does anything and knew how significant that three point make from Heise was. There are few - if any - more knowledgeable fan bases in CBB.
I don't disagree, but Tamin has pretty much been sharing the PG duties for the entirety of the last two seasons. This season, Gilbert is averaging 4.9 assists, with Lipsey at 3. Last season, Lipsey beat him out with 4.9 vs. 4.2, but that gap also closed in conference play (3.9 vs. 3.7). I think in Otz's ideal system, he just wants as many players as possible capable of organizing and facilitating the offense.I am thinking his thumb has moved him to the 3 spot rather than pg. sure wish he could move back to point - that really makes the team more complete and a more serious threat for post-season. PGs are truly the coaches right hand, and no one else is as much as a coach as tamin.
I don't know how you can see Rock out there and think he's anywhere close to playing meaningful minutes.INDRUSAITIS looked good, both ball control and shot.
Great to see Rock in there - that dude can push his hips around! Hope he sees more playing time earlier. May surprise some - let him take his licks.
Jefferson had a quote earlier in the season about coming to ISU has been the best decision he's ever made. That should work in our favor. With one more year of eligibility, JJ is going to draw a lot of "attention" NIL-wi$e.
Heise is phenomenal on defense very disruptive, even if he's not scoring he's making an impact. Watson supplying consistent offense is a big boon for the bench. Team has one of the best Starting 5's (or should I say top 5 for when CuJo comes off the bench) in the nation and is building quite a nice bench too.Watson's 3 kind of ignited the team. He brings a different energy. Heise's stat line is really good. 4 steals.
It's not an either/or. Both can contibute. This is a positive development.
My stream quality dipped when he came in there, I didn't even realize it was him. He got that shot out QUICK too. I was pumped when the quality came back and realized who it wasPlayer of the game IMO was Watson. His corner three really sparked the team. He continued to make high energy, high effort plays all night. The team feeds off of energy like that.
I didn't have the sound where I was watching, but it looked like the bench and crowd let Nate hear it after that 3. Is that true?We looked like sh*t for about 8:00 of clock
We looked ~unbeatable for about 32:00 of clock
Joshua Jefferson had a Nikola Jokic-type game
Keshon 21/6/8 on 10-15 shooting
A quiet 19 points for Curtis
Demarion Watson DOG
Nate hit a three
Tamin's thumb may be an issue
That about covers it I think.
Kind of a strange game overall. UCF seemed to start out trying to muscle us WVU-style but the refs were calling a lot of fouls. Then they switched to trying to press and run and that really didn't work well. They had a stretch where they hit four straight threes within like two minutes or else this would have been really out of hand.
Not worried about meaningful, just more. Hard to judge with more minutes - even if 2-3 minutes a game.I don't know how you can see Rock out there and think he's anywhere close to playing meaningful minutes.
Asked Grok to show me President Jackson and President Jefferson rooting for Iowa State:. Shoulda specified basketball I guess. View attachment 141583
Arrested development- does anyone else remember when Mikey Williams was a top 5 recruit and was supposed to be the next big thing coming out of high school? I don’t even think TJ would let him walk on to this team.

Yeah that was pretty funny to watch. You could see Heise looking at Gilbert as he was jogging back on defense. He just shook his head in relief after that went in.Heise's 3 was one of my favorite moments in the game. You could see the relief on his face, and his teammates and the fans were clearly very happy to see him finally get one to fall.
