Tremendous respect for Will McLevain and UNI overall. Outplayed us for the most part when you account for the overall talent level on both rosters.

McLevain is a great competitor and probably played the best game of anyone on the field today honestly. I know Campbell loves that kid, and I can see why.

As for ISU.... we will need an almost miraculous improvement from this week to next if we want to even be in the game.

It wont , teams improve a lot from week 1 , but this a week 14 teams on the offense side, that came of a long bye week.

At this point if they can get to 8 wins and bowl , I will be happy.

forget hanging with OU, I question if this team can hang with mid tier big 12 teams.
OK then. Got it. Thank you for your opinion.

It was sad when the commenter said we have a great rivalry with UNI.

He isn't. I honestly believe he likes early season games like this. It brings the team back to earth after hearing all the preseason hype yet you still get the win.. It is still incredibly frustrating for ISU fans.

This is how people (coaches too, probably) rationalize a game like that.

Haha. Ok. Let me hear what you have to say next week.

And if we lose I don't really care.

Very fortunate to win. My concern is that they were able to shut down Hall and what that means going forward.

"A w is a w"...BUT a top ten team should wax those panther fools. I know we strive to "become the best version of ourselves", but at some point it would be reassuring to see us put a beat down on a FCS team.

Manning completely forgot about the TE’s in the pass game today. I get that probably wouldn’t happen if Kolar is active, but we need to play our game no matter what. Wasting targets on Scates and Wilson at this point. Also where is Shaw?

Maybe they should want to live up to the hype instead. IDK, I'm just sick of struggling to get by teams we have so much more talent than early in the season, and sick of hearing excuses why the Cyclones can't beat teams like UNI easily.

Also said in another thread earlier this week I never like the idea of playing UNI. They play with an extra chip on their shoulders against us that other FCS teams don't, and because we always play extra conservative first game of the season, the games end up being much closer than they should. Trust me - I would have loved for this game to have been decided after the 1Q, but that's never how these games work out.
