Exactly. Kansas State was down bad when we were down and now they’re projected 4 seed at worst in the tournament. And they also lost a “pay for play” star transfer to Miami.
Woah. I wonder if they hyper focused exactly 1 good shooter and then signed up a bunch of old dudes who can't shoot as the backup plans like we did

We won’t have the luxury of playing a team whose coach got fired a week before the first round NCAA tournament game, with their players filing their transfer portal papers right after the game. And even then, last year’s team barely won against LSU.

Email the committee and explain your ideal match for ISU.

Ok, guess that's just where we're different. Getting capped at a 7 seed every year is pretty blah for me personally
I don't know anyone's age on here but I almost guarantee that this is a generational thing. Outside of Morgan and McDermott's tenure, every other ISU coach in my lifetime has made the tourney with at least some regularity.

Big picture before the NCAA tournament, assuming we lose at Baylor and are one and done in Kansas City, we would have lost 12 of our last 16 games… What tournament bound team in history has limped into the tournament like that? It has to be a mentally drained locker room.
We lost 7 of last 11 and 11 of last 18 last year before NCAAs.

Damn, can’t even find joy in a sweet 16, what will it take for you to find happiness?

@HoustonClone explain why this is dumb.

Where, pray tell, did he indicate he didn’t take joy in the S16? Please show me mercy, oh wise arbiter of gamethreads.I’m but a feeble-minded, emotionally-driven little fellow to be leered down upon from your perch.

Id disagree with this. I think a couple bad hires over the last 15 years have people's perspective off.

Power conference programs that care about basketball are generally more likely than not to make it most years, and that has increased over the last couple decades.
Yeah. I feel pretty good about this point. I’m guessing at the P5 level that there are only 15-20 teams that have made the tourney the last 4 years in a row. I know the
PAC-12 has zero. Big 12 has three (Tech, Baylor and Kansas). Big East has Villanova but that will end this year. SEC has two (LSU and Tennessee). LSU obviously will not be in this year. ACC (Va Tech, UNC and Duke) Big 10 has 6 (Wisconsin, Purdue, Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan and Michigan State)

So of the Power 6 conferences there are a total of 15 teams that have made the tournament 4 years in a row. It’s tough to do it that consistently.

Are you still crying just because I laughed at your post? Go to bed, maybe take some melatonin.

I can handle it. I haven’t posted in threads recently but peered in from time to time. And EVERY DAMN TIME there you are being a smug, know-it-all a-hole. It doesn’t appear you’re capable of not being a smug a-hole. You laugh at or mock every thought posed that doesn’t conform to yours.

What does that have to do with anything? Did we fire a coach recently? Do we have pending NCAA violations/post season bans coming with players all transferring out like LSU did?

Even if it did matter, Kansas, West Virginia tonight, and Oklahoma State beat us “closely” as in, a margin of victory same or smaller than us beating LSU. I don’t factor the Tech game loss as close since we gave up a historic lead and come back.

No they returned Nowell and then signed the SEC Freshmen of the year. And then got a bunch of role players. The only difference between KSU and us is Nowell is as a senior what we hope Tamin may be able to grow into.
