I get it...it isn't for everyone...but for those with the means to afford it...it could be awesome!

100%

Living in the Austin neighborhood vs a family with tens of millions banked is a very different world.

Gilbert isn't for everyone. Chicago isn't for everyone.

Makes the world go round, baby

I never get the closer to home argument for going to Chicago or anywhere closer. 1) Campbell is an adult with a busy life and kids. How often does he really go back to see his parents as it is? I live in the same town as my dad and barely see him. 2) it’s not like he’s trying to find a good deal on Frontier when he does go back. Dude can fly private whenever he wants and significantly cut down on travel time versus us commercial folks.

I'm always surprised at how often that gets misspelled on this site.
Well, there's this:

From here out out there will be little difference between coaching in the NFL and ‘college’. ‘College’ is going to be a **** show for a few years, I would probably look at NFL options if I were him.

All that said, I don’t see the fit at all, but my Bears are such a complete dumpster fire I could see it happening.

At least in the NFL, everybody is playing by the same rules and they don't change daily on court ruling after court ruling.

Bears need a culture builder like Campbell who can reset expectations and build a foundation. Impossible to know if Campbell can do it the pro level but he has a good track record. I would frankly trust Campbell a lot more than someone like Ben Johnson who doesn't have any HC experience. If Campbell knocks the interview(s) out of the park, it wouldn't be surprising to see him get offered.

Good point. I personally thought that CMC would stay at ISU so long as Pollard was still the AD. But Pollard may retire in a few years. CMC is smart enough to know to strike when the iron is hot

I wouldn't be shocked to see CMC is interested in a NFL job; I think his issue will be if NFL teams want him. But the NFL HC turnover rate is quite high as well. It's a risky move for his career if he wants it

1. He's not doing an actual interview.
2. They a Dan Campbell, not Matt.

We'll see if I ever eat crow, but I am honestly not really concerned in the least bit about Matt Campbell getting an offer from an NFL team to be their head coach. I don't think his coaching style, which is great for 18-23 year olds, would work with a professional roster.

I would agree but as a bears fan this would be a disaster IMO, the interview process is a joke with the McCaskey's. This is the same ownership group that had their interviews down to Marc Trestman and Bruce Arians who is a very well-known and respected coach. They decided it would be a good idea to do a mock press conference with mock media which Bruce said screw this, this is dumb (as he should have) and Marc was a disaster of a hire. So, if he gets the job offer it would not be shocking because they care more about how a person interviews rather than their product on the field or their resume.

This is a nice thought but culture building and building foundations dont exist in the NFL. Youre there to win with the players you are given and youre there to do it quickly, and if you cant they wont keep you around

He's a diva
Is he though?

Not sure ive heard of anything this season about him causing issues. He just keeps going out there and getting sacked and getting back up.

If you're referencing the nails, that's cause his mom does that for a living. Not sure that has anything to do with being a diva either

Speaking as a Bears fan, id say the overwhelming favorites are Ben Johnson and Joe Brady
