Yeah, to hell with 2nd in the conference, why finish there when you can finish 5th?

while nice to finish second, it really doesn't matter, draw isn't much different other than playing Ku in the semis. All that matters is beat osu, win 1 in conf tourney, and then all anyone will remember is how the NCAA tourney goes

Ladies, ladies, ladies. Settle down. It could be so much worse. Look at Syracuse. They have lost to two terrible ACC teams at home. Our losses are on the road against teams desperate for wins. It will be okay.
What? Syracuse is looking at a 2 or 3 seed.

I have no idea but it seems to me that this team plays worse together as the year goes on.

Seems as if there is a certain player that is kind of a "blamer".

lack of team chemistry

We did struggle moving the ball, but we missed several bunnies under the bucket. And some really lazy passes. Anyway, the level of concern should not be any less or more after this game.

Baylor's height had something to do with that.

They had 18 assists on 24 baskets tonight. It's not like they're out there playing 1 on 1 the whole game.

This was a huge factor. I counted at least 10 missed shots right next to the basket. Granted, some were really tough shots, but half should have been made. And there is 10 points without anything else changing.

For those saying that 11-7 this year is the same as last year need to remember that the conference is MUCH improved. Its a dogfight every night out. If you don't think that this team is more battle tested then you are wrong, plain and simply wrong. You have to remember most teams havn't had to deal with a guy like Deandre or Georges (he is gonna be huge next game) and the overall toughness of Melvin. We should be fine. And for those saying saying we are a sweet 16 team at best, guess what I'll take it today, tomorrow and forever, I'll take my chances in a sweet 16 game after Fred has had 5 days or so to dissect another team and to identify mismatches.

But it's way better defensively. I'd love to win every game, BUT I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS:

That's not possible. We aren't going to get every rebound. We aren't going to make every free throw. We aren't going to have zero turnovers every game.

I'm not saying its a bad thing. Its just a different team.

Baylor's zone was REALLY GOOD. I give them credit we couldn't get the ball inside on that zone and when we did they had active hands.

Move on and learn. We are in the NCAA Tournament and that is what matters to me.

"Couldn't" or "shouldn't" try so hard to get the ball inside. Seems like we should have tried harder to do some other things. For instance, did Kane drive to the hoop from an offensive set all game?

We finally hit some 3's, and then 2 of our 3 bigs have an off game (vs the KSU game). When we pull it all together we are one tough team to beat.

I really like your coach and your team. They had a tough game tonight (except for Kane...does he ever freaking miss?) but Baylor is playing really well and desperately needed this win tonight. I'll be pulling for the Cyclones the rest of the year unless my Bears see you guys in the Big XII or NCAA tournament.

I'm sure the committee will only be looking at one game vs. a top 50 team on the road when making their selection, everything else is irrelevant.
No one is saying we aren't getting in. The point that is whizzing over your head is the frustration that goes with wetting the bed in these games. This team had a great chance to win Saturday night and tonight, but they blew it. And that's too bad because a little better performance and we are looking at the best regular season conference record and highest tourney seeds since the Tinsley years.

This team has exceeded my expectations. As to Mel's and George's below average performance tonight, hey it happens. Can't be awesome every night. We play in a tough conference and wins on the road are never easy.

Fred has to start recruiting more length. Athletic length. The common denominator in most of these losses... going back 2-3 years now... is the glaring disadvantage we have around the rim. God bless Hogue. That guy is a warrior. It's comical seeing him try to guard Austin and other similar post players.
