Chris has talked a lot about this in the past couple of weeks on the radio and I wanted to dig into it, and finally did.
The chart below compares Oklahoma's scoring in each conference game by points per possession to Hields 3FG% to everyone else's 3FG% for OU.
Note the trendlines for each group's % and how it relates to the scoring. Hield's drops a bit as the scoring drops but there is a much larger drop off for everyone else and they're shooting accuracy. For them to score at their best, they need the group of "everyone but Hield" to shoot it pretty well.
