This news has been in other threads and in Chris' blog, but I think it needs it's own thread, definitely newsworthy with the A&M to SEC rumor, obvious thoughts on this is Kansas could be 16th team into the Pac "10" That would be the worst news yet for us.

On Saturday he flew from Concord, Calif., to Oklahoma City, where he met with officials from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Then on Sunday it went from Oklahoma City into Texas, where it landed in College Station (Texas A&M) before continuing on to Lubbock (Texas Tech) and then on to Austin (Texas). After handing out all those invitations there was one more stop on the itinerary, Kansas City (Kansas).

That is just brilliant. Because when you think of the Pacific, you definitely think Kansas and Oklahoma.

Should I "prevent" the landing with the Stingers in my basement? I don't think that's illegal right?

That is a interesting article. And a good reason why people shouldn't want to associate themselves with the Pac-10. Ruthless and slimy donors (oregon) and universities willing to cheat at any cost (USC).

Just a note, If you look at the flight tracker you can also see that they were in Salt Lake City talking to Utah on Friday.

And after that Bball ticket scandal, Im guessing KU would fit the bill too.

Maybe he's hungry for BBQ and wants to see the Royals?

He could be looking for two teams. If A&M goes SEC, they need a partner. I think OU fits with the SEC more than the PAC10. Perhaps he's talking to Kansas and Kstate? I don't think Kansas has the power to bring K State with them to the Pac 10. Utah and Kansas would probably be the best option for the PAc 10. Mizzou will still probably end up in the Big Ten or SEC.

So if A&M and OU go SEC, Kansas, Texas, Tech, Utah, Okie State go Pac 10, you would be ending the following great conference rivalries-

Texas - A&M
Texas - Oklahoma
Kansas- KSU
Kansas- Mizzou
Utah - BYU
Oklahoma- Okie State

Do you think all of those would be set up as home and away non conf. games every year?

Losing these rivalries is supposed to make college football better?

I think we still have a very good shot at the Big East without KU.

That said, KU might decide that the Big East is the way to go. They'd be dead in the Pac-10 for football, and the BE basketball is far, far more prestigious.

After reading that article and seeing that they were shocked that people found out about where they were traveling, I wouldnt be surprised if they were just messing around on this whole flight path. All the other flights were diverted, like the one to Austin didnt originally have Austin as a destination.
