Im sure there have been threads about this, but I couldnt find one so I made my own..I just finished it, and it was a great book about Shirley's travels around the world, his college life, and the troubles that he dealt with by traveling with 11 teams in four years. Has anyone else read it?

That book was hilarious! He's not too bad of a writer when he interjects his personality and humor.

I read it a couple years ago. I'm more of a newspaper/online/current events reader, but really enjoyed relaxing and reading his book...very entertaining!

You can save some time. They have bookstores on computers now.

I actually don't mind going to Barnes and Noble in Jordan Creek when I'm out there and walking around for a bit to check everything out. I've ran across quite a few books I probably never would have ran across online just b/c if I shop online I'm just going to do a search for the one I want and not see what else is out there.

I'll browse voraciously for books either way. It's just how I roll.

I read it last year - borrowed my dad's copy. Loved it! I lent it to some other ISU alums. I should probably ask for it back, though, since it's a signed copy and all that...

It's an absolutely hilarious book. I read it when I was a senior in college. Loved it. I laughed out loud many times while reading it.

Technically, you can dig a hole with a laptop, but I find a shovel to be much more convenient.

It sounds like I am in the minority but due to the ISU factor and his entertaining blogs I thought the book was going to be better. There is a fine line between self deprication and whining. I was a huge Paul Shirley fan before the book and I kind of regret reading it. I'll give the book some credit in that it was interesting to see how the fringe professional leagues work.
