Just for kicks after watching the Olympics, have you ever thought you could have been competitive on a national level or world level? I ask this with the caveat that you would have been afforded sufficient training and time to pursue your interest. And if so, what event?

For me, I could dream, but realistically I'm probably closer to average in size/strength than I am above so would be severely limited in options. I may have had my best shot as a long distance runner in my prime years but may have had an equally slim shot in one of the shooting competitions. I'd like to think I could have been physically trained to be competitive in the latter but I've never been put to the test in any competition to assess my mental capabilities needed to preform on that stage.

Watching them run marathons at twice the rate I can run a single mile, no, not really. Unless napping or sensing the trouble my kids are about to get into ever counts. Is cramming too many plants in a space a sport?

I was at a marathon in San Diego and at the exhibition tent they had a treadmill that ran on the world record men's marathon pace. It was insane. When it got wound up not many people could keep up for very long.... Certainly not for 2 hours!

I think I could do the horse dancing. As long as the horse is fully trained and all I had to do is hang on.

Otherwise, maybe the shooting sports? If the dude can walk up in a tee shirt and jeans and pick up a silver, I think that’s probably my best opportunity.

Not exactly sure.
I think I would have had the best shot at Greco wrestling. My balance and leverage abilities are very good and with a little longer torso I can work the under hooks and push outs.

Wrestling for me as well. Probably would look the least foolish though I’d be pinned fairly quickly

I just need Competitive Constipation to be added as a sport, then I've got a shot! Of course, the competition would have to start weeks before the Opening Ceremonies. And the winner would be declared in the ER, or perhaps the morgue!

Maybe swimmer Bob, dives into get items off bottom.
Except I can’t swim, need a back-up, or a rope!

I just successfully performed a suitcase squat of 310lb, 3 times, at the ripe 'ol age of 51 to earn a sweet Army T-shirt at the Iowa State Fair, so.....

WINNING

(I may have herniated something in the process)
