It was. I remember multiple preview reports mentioning Nader's wingspan. Most recently against AKLR in the tourney.

I'd heard it before too, but probably 8:1 vs McKay. :shrug:

Looks like Nader made the all tourney team. Only guy from his team to do so. Granted, his team didn't do all that well. By the looks of the stat sheet McKay was pretty underwhelming the last game.

Most likely because it's a metric for which the average person has no feeling or sense of how to gauge. Pretty much everybody knows how tall they are, but I'm guessing most people have no clue of their standing reach measurement. That's not to say it isn't a good metric, even if the familiarity isn't there.
