I think we'll see something different next year. I know Rhoads likes what we have but the players will push him to it at some point.

I'd be surprised if we see anything new in the future. I feel like it's just not Rhoads thing, but ya never know.

I like that the "black" is not actually black. It's more of a charcoal. I think that would be much better for ISU.

At this point I would settle for

*White helmets
*Gold helmets
*Striped current helmet
*Gold jerseys again
*Cardinal pants on the away uniform again

Pretty much anything else to mix it up.

CPR likes what we have, so I don't expect much if any of a change. That being said, I'd LOVE to see a gold and/or white helmet.

Is there any way to go more of a glossy gray and work chrome into the helmet like Oregon's? I really like those helmets.

I am involved with some clubs on campus and the licensing department won't allow us to have black apparel that has yellow/gold text on it. With that, I don't think we will ever have black uniforms, but I think some combination of gray would awesome. Also, I would like to see a helmet like Oregon has. View attachment 16814
We could have it be all cardinal with two different shades/luster or the base color could be gold and the design cardinal. I think this logo without the iowa state would be sweet View attachment 16815

Why would you ever want black uniforms at ISU?

Also, OP the point of pro combat is to do something unique and eye catching. I don't see this on the uniforms you posted. They are pretty boring and remind me of the Chiz era unis

I also want the helmet stripes, but let’s assume that doesn’t happen.


Your other four possibiities (along with the standard current combos) offers at least 7 viable options:


*Cardinal helmet-cardinal jersey-gold pants (standard home)
*Cardinal-white-white (standard current road)
*Cardinal-white-cardinal (alt-road/return to standard road)
*Gold-cardinal-gold (alt-home)
*Gold-gold-gold (alt-home)
*White-white-white (alt road)
*Gold-white-gold (alt-road)


Personally I would stop there (no all-red, no white helmets or white pants other than all white, for a few examples).

I’d be surprised to get even one alternate helmet, let alone two — even sticking with a single hat, we have multiple possibilities within our current design and color set to keep things “interestingâ€￾ with no redesign or the need to stray into gray/black.
