Friend of mine started this go fund me for the GOAT at Iowa State University and a College Football Hall of Famer! Troy gave us over 2,000 twice, I think cyclONEnation can do it once.

If 72 people donate $28 dollars we can hit the $2,000 number. This will show Troy when he receives the funds that the fans have his back! We want Troy to feel welcomed in Ames and he has earned this token of gratitude as he helped put Ames, Iowa and Cyclone football on the map!!!

Yeah, let's build Troy Davis up all day and give him celebratory drinks but when he just needs help and a ride home we burn him to the ground.

I love the guy but he's a former professional football player who made an extremely minor mistake that will likely have no affect on the rest of his life. So I'm hoping this $2,000 has little to do with this arrest.

That being said, if we give him $2,000 for putting Iowa State football on the map, why don't we give Marcus Fizer money for doing the same thing?

And the fine for being found guilty is 60-625 dollar fine. But still, he needs us. Now where's the link?

It's the thought that matters. Fans just showing some love to him. Obviously 2,000 represents his record rushing back to back years not the cost. I see it as someone trying to make a crappy situation into positive thoughts for Troy that his fans would rally behind him. If you don't feel like donating don't but no reason to pee in someones Cheerio's because they are showing support.

No peeing here I just don't really get it. I don't believe he should be in jail at all and could understand people donating enough to cover the costs. Can't wrap my head around giving him more than double if not triple the amount though.
