When will the four corners schools officially join the B12?

They will have backroom deals in place but won't announce until OU and UW status with the Big10 is resolved.

Yeah, as has been said, it’ll be a couple of years before they “officially” join the Big 12. Application, acceptance, and announcement are what you’re going for. I voted by the end of the week, but if this thing is real it’ll be done within 2.

Love that the B12 can be the ones to basically end a conference that has been around for 60+ years. Realignment adds so much excitement to the offseasons.

I think the "four corners" (great name for group) join Big 12 regardless because it's in their best interest...except for the outside chance SEC takes one Arizona school, even then it's still in best interest for a majority of them.

After that, if Big Ten sorts it out with ND and they somehow don't want UW/Oregon then you have them join but then I think new grant of rights might be more important to give the poaching at least some temporary sign of being over.

Cal/Stanford is a real wildcard to me. I've heard rumors the B10 values Stanford more than Washington, that doesn't make sense to me but who knows? The only sure thing seems to be Oregon is the top remaining brand in the league.

Cal seems to be in only slightly better position than Oregon State and Washington State in that I think the Big 12 would gladly add them and WSU/Ore St are in mode where they are charity case or need a full merger of the two conferences. I say that as polite as possible because ISU/KSU/Tech/OKst/Baylor have all had their turn in that position.

If it’s 6 I’d prefer to swap out Colorado for Stanford.
It'd be somewhat amusing for the Buffs to get left out.

Why are Stanford and Cal so low on lists? Pretty prestigious schools, not counting football. Not a great cultural fit I suppose. Or a worse fit than the other odd fits!
