Hoping for a smaller number to help with social distancing. Really difficult to socially distance with that many people.

I thought the message was great....a lot of "here is your chance to show us you can be good kids" vibe.

I just think SO many folks are "its about me" and that will be tough...think of the concourse standers at bball games..all of them think THEY need to get out early...but then a lot of "theys" equals lots of people...i hope folks follow and are patient.

What if there is lightening? LOL

I assume this has probably been covered but I'm assuming there isn't an ability to buy/sell tickets to the games. Even though it is limited to season ticket holders, season ticket holders do often sell their seats.

My reason for asking is I'm a family of 5 and have 4 season tickets. I always add a Junior Cyclone Club pass to get my fifth family member in and then have the kids rotate who sits in the grass each game. Since there is no JCC club I'm wondering if purchasing a fifth would be even a remote possibility. (I'd guess the aftermarket price could be pretty high with limited people in the seats).

Gosh, do ya think this is important? I think it counts as “fair warning”.

“If our mitigation actions are successful, we will allow all season ticket purchasers to attend the Oklahoma game Oct. 3. However, if we determine that mitigation measures were not followed adequately at the first game, we will have no fans at future games (beginning with Oklahoma),”

Not exactly sure.

People may be surprised though. When the six foot was put in place, our pastor told us that our church was limited to about 25-30 people at the very highest if we were to have anything inside. Then him and a couple others measured things out. They factored that each person would show up as an individual and have to have 6 foot radius of space. Doing this, they came up with 55 in that form. when you factor that many would be couples or in my case a family of 4 or 5 (pending if the oldest was home or not), the capacity could climb to around 100 or more and still keep family units social distanced from other family units. The total capacity if packed in hard is roughly 225. More like 200 if you make people not have elbows in ribs. So we would be around 50% in that respect and we are inside and the pews are not as conducive to the distancing as the benches are. So while it may be difficult there is a decent chance that they will have adequate distancing.

All I have to say is let's not F this up Cyclone fans and follow the policies and guidelines to the T so we can have fans this season. Wear your damn masks, don't tailgate or linger in the parking lots before and after games, and follow proper distancing. Wearing a mask from the second you leave your vehicle till when you return is a small sacrifice to make in order to make this work.

Like most I am bummed out that we can't tailgate this year as that is a huge part of the gameday experience but we need fans in the stands to not only support this team with some kind of home field atmosphere but also to financially limit our losses because of this mess too. If you want to go to games then do your part and don't be an idiot that ruins it for us.

I hate wearing a mask but I still wear one whenever I am in public these days. I was really irked at some bad publicity my kid's school district got Friday night when the stands were full of people not wearing masks. Apparently the policy was you have to wear a mask to enter the stadium but can take it off once you are in your seat and distanced. I don't agree with that because as a school district they are trying to make a hybrid in person learning plan work and we need to be doing everything to make sure we don't jeopardize our kids being able to attend class in person and wearing masks while being a spectator at school athletic events should not even be a question or option, everyone should be wearing one as you are not distanced enough in the bleachers or stands IMO and even in Jack Trice the distancing is going to really be pushing the 6 feet too IMO so I am glad the masks are required.

It's not just spacing while in your seats. It's spacing when entering/leaving, walking the concourse, going to the restroom, getting concessions.....

Outside of concessions though, you wouldn't be within 6 foot of the same person for 15 minutes while doing those things. At least the restroom lines usually arent' that long.

Yes it is those also, but they would still be considered incidental contact(compared to sitting next to someone yelling for an entire game) for the most part if they can keep those groups moving, and with that many fewer people I hope they can. Yes you can get it from those incidental contacts, but it is less likely.

6 feet and 15 minutes are not concrete numbers on contracting a virus. The more people you come into contact with increases the odds of transmission. It's how superspreading occurs.

Why would they wait to opt out afterwards?
I think it’s easier to make a decision when presented with all the options. We are still planning on going but I can see someone who was hoping for closer to 15,000 deciding there’s to many. I can also see someone who knows they are going to opt out but are hoping for no fans so they don’t have to actually make that call.

It's not as difficult as it sounds. One thing I've noticed throughout this is we naturally socially distance. Yes, it is more difficult in bathrooms and other tight areas, but as far as walking around the stadium and being in your seats, it should be doable. It's not a huge change in behavior to keep 6 feet away from strangers.
