Can't stand the hate for Pollard. People praised him for everything Rhoads and Fred.

Fred leaves for more than double what he was making here to head to a dream job in the NBA.

Rhoads falls apart and can't coach anymore.

Obviously the AD is the reason we're awful.

This thread will be a good indicator as to who does and doesn't understand how you effectively evaluate an AD.

Have there been many ADs that have survived having to fire 3 football coaches?

Honest question, cause I'm definitely not an qualified AD evaluator.

So true. But sadly I think the thread title is probably correct. If this doesn't work than Leath will not be a happy camper. Not sure who's side I would be in

I think the Campbell rumor is probably just that. I have thought all along that we would find out who the new coach was on Monday. Rhoads finishes his last game, gets some time to clear out the office, say good bye too everyone. Makes sense. If we don't announce a new coach a week later than Monday, it may be time to panic. Jamie isn't obtuse. He knows this hire is a huge part of his continuing legacy.

For whatever reason, this thread makes me think of this song, and is probably apropos for the feelings regarding JP:

Successful VB, WBB (top 5 attendance also), MBB, XC and track, improving golf teams, etc. Yah I understand FB pays the bills, Based on USA Revenue report in 2014 TX was at 161M, OK 129M, and OSU at 117M as top 3 in B12, ISU #8 at 68M. We don't have Oil Barons like OSU Pickens or a State with 26M people (TX) and the ISU athletic department still makes money. NE is seeing they don't have the upper hand as they once did in FB and possibly KSU is seeing that now.

Not a Pollard issue, it's ISU and till we can start grinding out 6-6, 7-5 and the once in a while 8-4 or 9-3 season on a consistent basis then we can say we're heading in the right direction. CPR was right person just not the right coach.

Once we get to the consistency mentioned then someone is going to come in and grab that coach, it's business and that's what happens. Now beat me up and throw me to the wolves for my thoughts, I'll be watching!

I think Pollard is some kind of wizard. He bowled in the stadium, built facilities that have been needed for 20+ years, and kept up attendance with poor performance on the field. Also, basketball seems to be doing ok.
