My 8 year old son had what was no-doubtedly his best bball game the other night. So much so, that he decided to throw up a half court shot with 22 seconds left, down 1. It somehow went in, and his team held on to win by 2.

Did we celebrate the made shot? Yup.
Did we celebrate the win? Absolutely.
Did his coach have a conversation with him about making better decisions? Yes, and I 100% supported that conversation.

It's great to win. It's also great to understand there are mistakes made even in a win, and other decisions could have been made to put the team in an even better position to win. Mouser called a great game. We won. Go Cyclones.
Sounds like hot dog to me.

Ward only led for 16 seconds. They probably win with him. But I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
Choked away a 21 point lead to the Cuse. Miami was not going to win- with or without Cam Ward. Miami is such an undisciplined team, i.e. fighting with each other on the sidelines- etc...

Big take away from this game is Rocco's pocket presence was back to 1st half of season form. Standing in the pocket til the last tenth of a second to get the right pass off at the right time. Hasn't looked that comfortable since before the UFC game. I suppose having a few weeks off helped alot.

The block that injured Freyler was a leg whip. Given some of the other things Miami was doing I suspect it was being coached by their staff.

Anyone have an info on the type of injury and how he is doing?

I think you fall somewhere between pedantic or didactic actually which is annoying.
Every time I hear the word pedantic I have to look it up! It's a negative word and not used that often. :D

I understand that my tone was probably read much worse than I intended, and that blame certainly falls on my wording. I also stated in my OP and many times later that I thought Mouser otherwise called a great game. I still find the end of game calls baffling, and I maintain that the best-case/worst-case outcomes of pass vs run very strongly favor running the ball. In the end, it doesn't matter. We won.

The thread is a review of the game. My review was 90% positive, and my wording led to most focusing on the negative. You can go back through my posts over the last 15 years and I'm not sure you could find 5 more negative things I've said.
It's OK but also a testament to people's general argumentative nature, I think. I didn't even read all of your posts but found myself wondering why everyone was trying to be so prissy with you or whoever. We are all Cyclones after all.

We won the game. It was great. Enjoy. I've got other things to worry about.
