Wonder how long the Lanning at QB experiment will last. He really looks slow compared to the others. Thinking he ends up on the other side of the ball, but who knows.

Pierre Aka and Rodney Coe look amazing.... Both of those guys really look athletic (for interior DL guys). Also, I really like how both Sam Richardson and Grant Rohach "carry" themselves. They don't act like youngsters. Trevor Hodge is really quick (but totally "unpolished". Does he get a pass since its his first college practice ?).

I agree on Aka. Coe did not stand out to me. Not that he looked bad, just that he didn't look explosively quick like Cousin and Aka.

didn't think Coe looked as fluid in the drills, but he moved very will for a 305 pound guy, every bit as quick as the others. Remember, he probably hasn't been through these drills as many times as the other guys.

Lots of guys in their first practice at this level. They haven't done these drills as many times as the others, if at all. I wouldn't stress too much if they look slow or inexperienced.

Gotta remember Coe has been training at a JUCO facility and the others have been with full time trainers and treadmills. The dude just needs a little time

The most notable thing I noticed about these vids was that Wimberly was running with the WRs, and looking pretty good doing it.

I wouldn't judge anyone one or anything on day 1 of fall practice. Especially the new guys.

This is funny. No one seems all that impressed with Coe based off a video, and yet Wally mentioned after practice today how Coe kept grabbing his eye, and how impressed he was with his feet, hands, and quickness off the ball.

Yeah, but what does he know?

Yeah, and he was really impressed with Coe's motor as well. Him being too big doesn't seem like an issue for Wally.
