My all time favorite pre-game was Lou Holtz going to every Razorback player one by one asking them to tell him why they knew they would beat a heavily favored OU team that day.
Arkansas of course won the game and bumper stickers all over the state gave the score 31-6.

If you could give the pre-game speech for any of the remaining games, which one would it be, and what would you say?

I'd have to go with "Pre-game Speech #21". Never steered me wrong in the past.

My coach played "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins as his preferred pregame focus music. I went to Hoover, and we went 0-9 and 2-7 my last two years (thank you North and East), so lets not go with Phil Collins.

Before we start giving pregame pep talks can someone start the look-a-likes thread? This is an epic fail that it hasn't been started yet. :realmad::realmad::realmad:

Don't take this the wrong way... But, seeing that you went to Hoover, I don't think it really matters what kind of music you play.

The good thing about playing Hoover is the game always got done earlier.... 50 point rule and the nonstop running of the clock.

True and True!

We got 50 pointed a lot my Junior year and in 95 and 96 they didn't have the continuous clock, they just stopped the game.
My Senior year we actually scored some points but couldn't stop anyone. We had the top passer and reciever in the conference. Chance Hulten just threw it up to Kelly Christopher all game.

We played East on a Saturday morning, because they had gotten in trouble for fighting after a Friday night game sometime before that. It felt like we had won the Superbowl. The East fans were glaring at our bus as we pulled away.

You played at Hoover, Hopp?? I'm sorry! Ha ha!

During my playing days at Webster City, the coaches would let us players sit in pitch black dark for about fifteen minutes before pregame warmups in the weight/wrestling room (or locker room if we were on the road). We'd scream scary stuff to each other like "No matter who you line up against- make him remember your number for the rest of the season! Play to the whistle every snap! Hit whoever has the ball so hard his f'n girlfriend cries!" to pump ourselves up.

You're welcome. I went to North. Class of '02.
