Pet peeve of mine:

I get a barrage of jokes E-mailed to me from various people. About 90% I've seen before, 9% aren't funny and maybe 1% are worth a chuckle.

What really drives me nuts is the jokes that have a story, the punchline is driven home and then someone has to add a line like "and then the nun (or whoever) fainted". When the hell did this trend start happening? It never adds anything to the joke. It's basically a written <trombome sound> wah-wah-wah at the end of a joke.
