I think we owe a big round of applause to all of the fans who have continued to make the trek into Hilton for what I consider to be the most underachieving season in the history of Cyclone basketball.

There have been plenty of posts on here criticizing the lack of butts in seats, especially towards the end of the season, but I can't fault anyone for not wanting to give up their free time and hard earned money to watch the quality of product that was being put on the floor night in and night out.

I am a huge proponent of supporting the student athletes for their efforts and for showing faith in your school, but even I could not carry it through the entire season this year. Bravo to those of you who did!

We second that. We heard a very loud crowd last night. The fans deserved a win. We just missed about three opportunities to pull it out.

I think some of us have been around long enough to know that there's always another day. A basketball team that doesn't perform up to "our" standards is not the end of the world for anyone.

Yup. Kudos to the hard cores! I was thinking the other day that this is the first year since 1992 that I didn't make it to at least 1 game at Hilton. That makes me sad.

Good post, I'll always be at the games thru thick and thin and we have a great fan base that will do the same. Doesn't mean we accept sub-par programs, but will always support the student athletes who chose to become Clones.

I agree. Watching highlights of the nuclear winter on tv is one thing but knowing that people actually were there, live and in person, when it happened is another. I don't know how they have the strength to keep on living....

I agree. The Mizzou announcers were amazed with the support ISU fans showed the team. They even said, Hilton was still loud and hard place to play last night.

Congrats. You have endured a unique form of torture that many would have broken under. You have not, and that is comendable.

Games are still fun to go to.

I live 20 minutes away. Tickets were 4.95 a game to sit in the 4th row of the balcony (a majority of games nobody was there, so they let us sit down low). Clone cones are great.

Plus other teams bring in fantastic players that you know will be in the NBA at some point in time, so it is a treat to watch them.

Plus after last season, I dont get that sick feeling when we lose anymore. Its just pretty much teh same feeling either way.

Soooo... I can't rep this post until I "spread it around" but this is awesome. I wonder if the people taking tickets at the door gave them the old Gladiator reception.... "For those about to die.... We salute you"?

John and Eric said we were 3rd in the conference in attendance this year. Is that right?

Do I get a neat tee shirt with a fleur de lis on it like they gave away at Candlestick Park years ago? Anything for sitting through every game and subjecting myself to mass amounts of frustration?

+1 to me for saving on gas. So I'm even! :jimlad:

Dude... you seriously have to stop... I have 3 posts I need to rep you for so now I am going to have to wait about a month until CF rules will allow me to hand those out. Anymore gems from you and I am just going to give up keeping track. :biglaugh:
