I feel like everybody complied with the mask stuff really well and people did a good job distancing and stuff. I was concerned simply because I didn’t want us to have future attendance plans cancelled due to non compliance. Great job everybody.

Student section looked in full compliance. Purdy's mom was the most visible mask issue on tv coverage to be honest. (Not raging against that, just what I saw)

My big take-away was how much people in the south endzone stomped their feet on the metal bleachers. First time I can recall fans doing that all the way through the game. Ben Bruns talked about how it was built to make noise. Finally, we are starting to use it for our advantage.

Not exactly sure.
Agreed, the fans sounded great on TV. For those of you who were there, how was everything? Did you feel safe given the precautions and rules in place?

Yeah, no issues. Only concern I had was an older woman a few rows in front of us that struggled with the steps and a few times made it appear she could take a header down them.

And for those that were there, did they augment the crowd with any piped-in sound?

It did feel that the spacing became less "social distant" as the game went on. I'm not sure if people saw open spots and moved to be closer to action, closer to friends or both but it did feel different than at the beginning.
I know it would be an added expense but installing chairbacks for each assigned group of tickets could be a good way to ensure we stick to the seating plan. Never felt uncomfortable however I don't want it to impact future attendance plans.

The crowd was great. Even the Cyclone Power chant worked.

And the video board was used much better. Was it just the availability of the ABC cameras? Or did they make some changes in the gameday programming?

We have seats in the front row of an upper deck section and nobody tried to sneak into the open spaces.

Pretty crowded where we were in Sukup but plenty of open space so we just moved. Generally people did well with masks.
Looked like quite a bit of open spacing there on TV. Couldn't really see close enough for long enough to see our general area. We were kind of surprised at how few seats appeared to be assigned.

We got reassigned to new seats, which were more crowded than where our old seats were. Nobody in them.
