Why do we kick off to our opponent's best return guy? Can we not kick a directional kick away from the return man. I mean osu only had one guy back, one with world class speed mind you, and we kick directly to him. Is it a coverage thing? A fraid to kick out of bounds?

Since they only had one guy back, it's safe to assume he'll be the one returning it no matter where we kick it unless we do a dinky pooch kick. We stuffed them at the 11 yard line one time, so I think it was a case of just thinking we could stop him from a big return. Kicking out of bounds is a last resort thing.

Dumb question. Nothing good can come from kicking it high and short on a kick off....
