I'm not personally a fan of this song, but I always found it funny that at the 37 second mark he says "I see inside the salad bar". Makes me hungry every time.

Gotcha, I figured it out.
It is a sample from a Celtic folk song. Óró Mo BháidÃn by Mary O'Hara.
It's tough to figure out, becuase it's not in english.
The section in the beginning of the song is as follows:
‘S go hOÃche Fhéil’ Eoin nà thiocfaidh mé aniar
translates to:
And I won't come back until St. John's Night
The same song is sampled at the end of the song where it sounds like Aaaah aaaahh....
Óró mo churaichÃn ó!
translates to:
Oh, my little currach o! (A currach is a boat)
It's a pretty song played on a harp. Some of the tune is in Sleepyhead as well.
I had to look this up, because I've seen Passion Pit in concert (they were extremely good) and not once did I ever hear anything about tacos.

Those definitely aren't the words, but it does sound like that. I think you just hijacked this thread and turned it into "Best misheard lyrics". I remember someone singing "soup inside a bun" to Suicide Blonde by INXS.

Every song by The Mars Volta's has lyrics that can only be described as completely inane babble...which doesn't detract one bit from the amazing musicianship that band possesses.

From the same song...my brother thought the part that was sampled from B.B. King ("I've been down-hearted, baby") was "I bent down and farted, baby!" when it first came out.
