It can happen! At the time of our 2000 bowl game in Phoenix the Tennessee WBB team was in town to play outside against Arizona State.

So it is not Mid American Energy Court at Jack Trice Stadium? Wonder how much more JP is going to get them to pay for those naming rights....

I quit reading his articles this summer when he wrote that Tom Lehman was a US Open champion after Lehman had won the Principal tournament in Des Moines. Lehman was a British Open (The Open) champion, not a US Open. Sometimes the fans know a bit about sports and the writers should know that their work is read for accuracy. Errors such as this one have something to do with why newspaper circulation continues to decline.

Look at this paragraph the guy posted... LOL

Solomon Young, a 6-foot-8 post player, is probably out until at least the start of the Big 12 after undergoing surgery to repair a damaged groin. The 6-9 Lard is still practicing his way back into shape after won’t be available when the season starts Nov. 6 against Alabama State at Jack Trice Stadium, due to well-publicized off-court situations that resulted in spending 90 days in a Massachusetts wellness facility.

Holy F*ck can a single paragraph get any more inaccurate? Maybe he was drunk posting?

Tough l crowd. I think his mistake was trying to fit too much information into one tweet.

I got that vibe, too. I admit reading the butchered paragraph made me laugh, but it's like notes for 2 separate tweets got merged, he copied it into a Twitter post and didn't realize it.

Randy has his share of flaws with analysis and sometimes his approach as a columnist (many sports writers do), but generally I don't remember him botching simple information so badly.
