We are moving up in the marble race too.

He screwed up - he counted ISU as a home game (and multiplied by .2) instead of as a road game (and should have multiplied by .25). As a result, he shorted us 5 marbles. We should be at 321.

WTF is this?

Read his Twitter. It's something along the lines of each team is assigned a number of marbles at the beginning of the year, and depending what happens each week the winning team takes a certain percentage of the losing team's marbles. If you win at home, you take 20% of the losing team's marbles; win on the road, you take 25% of their marbles.

It’s pretty bad. I can’t think of a single state with two programs like that where I’d ever intermingle them, and I’m not even paid to do it. It know it’s the Florida Gators, not Seminoles. I know it’s the Michigan Wolverines, not Spartans. I know it’s the Illinois Illini, not Redbirds. I know it’s the Kansas Jayhawks, not Wildcats, and on and on.

The only one that may be close is Washington.

Getting into the CFP top 25 must've had notable influence on voters. Otherwise, would a win at Kansas have been enough to jump to AP & Coaches top 25?

Well, the coaches poll is notoriously bad because it’s usually some intern or low level coach on the staff filling it in. The AP poll is bad because it’s inherently biased toward popular and east coast teams.

My guess is they looked at the CFB polls, ones that at least somewhat have to be based on merit, and they adjusted accordingly.
