  1. Bill Self - has his weakest in first place tie
  2. Bob Huggins - ugly but effective
  3. Lon Kruger - history makes this case
  4. Scott Drew - maybe a slot too low due to his ability to develop talent
  5. Bruce Weber - overachieving/only coach not named Self with a conference title
  6. Chris Beard - first place but it's early in his career
  7. Jamie Dixon - underachieving
  8. Steve Prohm - sweet personality/won with the other dude's recruits
  9. Shaka Smart - should have stayed in Richmond, VA
  10. Mike Boynton - maybe a slot too low

Did you pull these from somewhere or these yours?

If so I agree with your top 4. 5-8 probably interchangeable. Bottom two I agree on.

No, they're my own. Just giving the subject some thought this morning halfway through the season. I do believe Smart is in the wrong place though. And further, that both Drew and Weber are vastly undervalued.

Weber won a conference championship. His present team is way overachieving. He's sent guys to the NBA. He has an eye for and then develops talent.

I disagree.

Regardless of how you spin it, neither of them are getting ahead of Self, Huggins, or Kruger.

Weber is winning right at about the average rate of the K-State program historically (his two best seasons were with Martins recruits, wink wink), while Drew is winning at about 12% higher rate than Baylor's history.

No bias here at all. Prohm "won with the other dude's recruits" , but lets ignore the fact that Weber's conference title was won with the other dude's recruits (the same year he lost in the first round of the NCAA, in KC, as a 4 seed).

WTH, I said that above.

But set that aside, do you believe ISU is better than K-State today or next season when the Cats return the entire roster?

Weber's won championships with recruits of others, yes. But others didn't recruit Marcus Foster, Wes Iwundu or Dean Wade.
This season isn’t over yet so don’t count your current record, but how many Big 12 seasons has Bruce coached those players to a conference record over .500?
