Rant: Coaches Name?

I am not feeling these threads that have the coaches name. I haven't read all of them but here's they usually go:

Original Poster: I think we should take a good at coach xyz?I mean, he's good and I don't understand why not.

Poster A: Would be good, but no way

Poster B: Coach xyz? Coach qrs is way better!

Original Poster: I mean seriously. I realize all the points why he wouldn't come, fully understand them, and it makes perfect sense, but I don't know. Why is it so crazy?

Poster C: Mike Ditka

Poster D: Well, you see Original Poster, back in the year xxxx we had a coach one time from the SAME SCHOOL... Didn't work out!

Poster E: We're ISU.... enough said

And it goes on, and on, and on for like 10+ pages!

Here's some key points:

1) It doesn't matter where the guy is from. A program at a school now vs. x number of years ago can be totally different
2) These threads aren't bringing up the most original names
3) I find it funny everyone in the history of CF needs to chime in on it.

I am sorry to rant, but I find it interesting. The interesting part isn't so much that people are creating these threads but for how deep they go lol.

At the end of the day, most of us don't have deep enough pockets to influence the coaching decision, and I would bet Pollard is too busy to be checking this site.

I love the passion no doubt. I just want to see some more creativity than what I have been!

Coach XYZ's offense sucks and he has no head coaching experience. We don't want another Chizik. Coch QRS has head coaching experience.

I think we need a few more names posted on CF. There have only been 25 to 30 names posted about here. Some name even have 4 or 5 different threads supporting them. Funny think is JP will probaly hire a guy that hasnt been talked about, if that is possable.

And a seperate thread for every single stupid suggestion. Here is an idea... Post it in the coaching search thread for the day. No need to start 40 or more threads a day over stupid ideas and suggestions. Your opinion is sadly not that important that it warrants its own thread.

Texas...this isn't Mack Brown trying to enter his name in the search is it?...but,but,but...we're Iowa State...we've already tried a guy from texas....what about Ditka...I heard he likes the cold...but seriously Mack Brown?
